So my guess is :

2. Gaff..Perth
6. Lycett. East Freo

Any one know ?

Assume we had Picks 6 and 10. You would imagine pick 6 was Scott Lycett. East Perth?

Gaff probably went to SD then. At a guess anyway

The WAFL draft is a pretty good clue of how much WAFL the coaches think an AFL draftee will play.

Gaff at pick 6 = very little WAFL time.

Its time the Eagles and Dockers did something about this. I know the host team thing was tried and discarded some time ago but this is not good for players development. The bottom sides are there because they either don't have the attitude or they don't have the players. Sending young inexperienced payers to these clubs doesn't help them much as the players aren't always available and it certainly doesn't help the players as they can't develop properly as team players without good players around them. We are giving Victorian teams a head start in terms of deveopment and we may also have problems retaining players when they are allocated to crap sides.

I don't know what the answer is but anything is better than the current situation.

Yeah, none of those guys will play with them though.

And the boys don't train the WAFL sides at all so it's not a huge deal.

can`t see lcyett playing fwd all game maybe he will have 5 minutes a quarter in the ruck ,till he gets used to wafl level .
