Round 17 saw some interesting matches take place with some big momentum swings at times. However, it was still a pretty easy round to tip with a numbers of tipsters selecting all four winners on the weekend. Kram went one better, getting all four games and scoring the bonus point with his margin of 29 points only one point away from Peel Thunder's actual winning margin of 28.

After 17 rounds, waflfootyfacts remains in the lead on 57 points with myself sitting second with 53 points while FiveStrings stays third with 51 points. gaskin is a point behind in fourth place on 50 points while Monocle is back into outright fifth again with a total of 49 points.

Round 18 Fixtures

East Perth vs South Fremantle at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, Busselton (2:15pm)
Perth vs West Perth at Lathlain Park (2:15pm)
Peel Thunder vs Subiaco at Bendigo Bank Stadium (2:15pm, margin)
Bye: Claremont, East Fremantle, Swan Districts

We enter Round 18 with all matches on Saturday this week, we also only have three games this weekend with the league fitting in the last of the multi-team bye rounds for the season. The round starts off with East Perth travelling down to Busselton as they take on South Fremantle at Sir Stewart Bovell Park while Perth are back at Lathlain Park as they host West Perth who had the bye last week. The TV telecast is back this week and the telecast game sees Peel Thunder lock horns with Subiaco down in Mandurah in a later start. The telecast starts at 2:30pm on 7mate and leads into the AFL coverage in the evening.

The other grades are relatively straightforward this week with the Colts beginning at 9am and the Reserves at 11:30am. The Colts in the Peel Thunder vs Subiaco fixture get a mini sleep in with a 9:25am start while the Reserves will get underway at 11:55am. A reminder that the Colts and Reserves matches for East Perth vs South Fremantle will be held at Leederville Oval.

The weather this weekend isn't looking great at this point with a shower or two expected and 19 degrees with up to 2mm of rain forecast for Saturday. Friday is expected to be quite wet so things could be pretty damp on Saturday anyway even if not much rain falls on Saturday. It's a similar story in Busselton with a shower or two forecast for Saturday and 17 degrees while Friday will also be quite wet as well.

Well we have some good games on the horizon this weekend so with a bit of luck we should see some good football on the weekend, hopefully the rain will stay away as well so we can see some highly skilled WAFL footy on Saturday. Happy tipping!!
