Round Eight was a bit tricky with no-one getting a perfect round this week and that saw scores scores range from two to three. Peel Thunder caused an upset over Claremont which no-one predicted while a few others were tripped up by Subiaco beating Swan Districts. The bonus point this week was won by myself after deciding to go with a larger margin of 37 points which was closest to Subiaco's winning margin of 64.

With eight rounds completed waflfootyfacts remains in the lead on 29 points with gaskin and myself tied for second place on 25 points. FiveStrings and Monocle stay in a tie for fourth on 23 points.

Round Nine Fixtures

Peel Thunder vs Swan Districts at Bendigo Bank Stadium (1:40pm, margin)
East Fremantle vs East Perth at East Fremantle Oval (2:15pm)
Claremont vs Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (2:15pm, neutral venue)
Subiaco vs South Fremantle at Leederville Oval (2:15pm)
Bye: West Perth

It's Round Nine with all games taking place on Saturday once again. The two "East's" do battle this week with East Fremantle hosting East Perth down at Shark Park, Claremont are playing a "home" game against Perth down the road at Fremantle Community Bank Oval while the finishing touches are put on at Claremont Oval while Subiaco are back at Leederville to host South Fremantle in what is easily match of the round. The WAFL is back on TV this week and it's sure to be a good game as Peel Thunder take on Swan Districts down in Mandurah in what also promises to be a pretty entertaining affair. That match is on 7mate and leads into Channel 7's AFL coverage on that channel afterwards.

The other grades are as usual this week, 9am for the Colts and 11:30am for the Reserves except for the Peel Thunder vs Swan Districts fixtures with the Colts due to start at 8:25am and the Reserves at 10:55am respectively.

The weather is again looking pretty good for Saturday with partly cloudy conditions expected and 23 degrees forecast at this stage, it could be a little nippy in the morning though if you're down for the Colts however so you may want a jacket if you're up early that morning.

Another entertaining round of games is upon as we slowly make our way towards the middle of the season, make sure you're all good to your Mothers this Sunday on Mother's Day and happy tipping!!
