Before I start, thanks once again to gaskin for looking after things while I was away. Very much appreciated mate. :thumbsu:

Round Five lead to a range of scores amongst the tipping group this week with three being pretty popular. However, swannies, Freofalcon, RickSanchez and Magnum27 went one better, getting all four games correct for the round. The bonus point this week went to andana as East Perth defeated Peel Thunder by 66 points with andana's margin selection of 33 being the closest.


Round Six Fixtures

Peel Thunder vs Claremont at Bendigo Bank Stadium (Saturday, 2:15pm)
South Fremantle vs Swan Districts at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (Saturday 2:15pm, margin)
Subiaco vs West Perth at Leederville Oval (Saturday, 2:15pm)
East Fremantle vs East Perth at East Fremantle Oval (Sunday, 2:15pm)
Bye: Perth


Round Six is upon us with four matches split over the weekend once again. The round begins on Saturday where Peel Thunder are back home in Mandurah to host Claremont at Bendigo Bank Stadium while Subiaco are coming off the bye to play West Perth at Leederville Oval. Sunday sees East Fremantle facing off against East Perth at Shark Park, expect to see a few changes from the Sharks as they look to turn around what has been a bad couple of weeks for the club. Unfortunately there is no telecast game this week so I've gone with South Fremantle vs Swan Districts as the margin game for the round. This game should be a cracking encounter with both teams having displayed some good form over the course of the season and should be going hammer and tongs once Saturday afternoon rolls around.

The other grades are as usual this week with all Colts games to begin at 9:00am while bouncedown in the Reserves is at 11:30am.

The weather is looking pretty good for the coming weekend, Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a maximum of 26 degrees although it will be a cool start if you're there early for the other grades. Sunday is going to be partly cloudy at this stage with 27 degrees predicted with a slight chance of a shower. Any shower activity on Sunday shouldn't be more than 2mm as per the forecast currently.

After what wasn't such a close round last week hopefully Round Six will prove to be a little better with four really good encounters upon us. Happy tipping!!

Round Six produced some pretty good contests with all games in the balance at some point during the last term. Everyone got at least two this week with scores of three and four proving to be quite popular as a few tipsters managed to tip the card for the weekend. However, it was samFFC and Kram who were the pick of the bunch in Round Six selecting all four games correctly with both getting a bonus point for the margin after selecting a winning margin of 10 points for South Fremantle. This was only three points away from the Bulldogs' actual winning margin of 13.

After six rounds, myself and Spanna_ have a share of the lead on 20 points with a host of players forming a six-way tie for third place on 19 points.


State League Fixture

SANFL vs WAFL at Adelaide Oval (Saturday 11:40am WST, 1:10pm CST)


The WAFL has a general bye this week with the annual state league match taking centre stage for the weekend. The WAFL has performed very well in these games over the past five years, defeating the VFL twice while also posting wins against the SANFL, NEAFL and TSL to become undoubtedly the best state league in Australia. With the VFL, NEAFL and TSL withdrawing from the state league round-robin matches, the WAFL will travel to Adelaide this year to take on the SANFL this Saturday at Adelaide Oval in a curtain-raiser for the Showdown between Port Adelaide and Adelaide in the AFL.

The match will be streamed live through the SANFL Digital Pass at the following website (https://sanfldigitalpass.com.au/), a 30-day pass is $5.99 and you will also be able to see games from the SANFL for the duration of your pass. Alternatively, you can listen to the game on Sport FM 91.3 who will be broadcasting the game thanks to LifeFM Adelaide.

With the state game on this weekend there will be no tipping for this week so you can all have the weekend off. I will be posting the fixtures for Round Seven next Tuesday in readiness for the following weekend's games. Hopefully the mighty WAFL can continue their good form of late and have a great win this weekend in Adelaide!
