Round Nine produced some good matches with both TV games proving to be pretty entertaining viewing. Most tipsters managed to get three with samFFC, Miguel Sanchez and getgaff tipping all four games correctly. The bonus point for the Swan Districts vs Perth game was claimed by getgaff who was spot on Swan Districts' winning margin of 30 points. The West Perth vs East Perth game was a three-way tie with gaskin, RickSanchez and Miguel Sanchez all one point off the Falcons' winning margin of 24 points. That leaves getgaff with five points for the round, as did Miguel Sanchez who also picked up five points.

Overall, gaskin has taken the outright lead with 28 points with myself and Spanna_ tied for second place with 27 points. There's a big group for equal fourth now with seven tipsters all tied on 26 points.

Round 10 Fixtures

Claremont vs Swan Districts at Claremont Oval (1:40pm, margin)
Peel Thunder vs West Perth at Bendigo Bank Stadium (2:15pm)
Subiaco vs East Fremantle at Leederville Oval (2:15pm)
Perth vs South Fremantle at Lathlain Park (2:15pm)
Bye: East Perth

We move onto Round 10 which sees all four games back on Saturday afternoon. Peel Thunder are back home in Mandurah and will play host to West Perth in what will be a crucial clash for both sides. Subiaco are back from their bye and play their first home game in five weeks as they meet East Fremantle at Leederville Oval while not too far away Perth will take on South Fremantle at Lathlain Park. The TV game this week is the opening match of Round 10 and sees Claremont lock horns with Swan Districts in what is looking to be another good fixture. That match begins at 1:40pm with the telecast beginning at 1:30pm on Channel Seven. This match leads into Channel Seven's AFL coverage in the evening although you'll need to switch it over to 7mate to see that game.

In the other grades there's not a lot of movement with all games to get underway at 9am for the Colts and 11:30am for the Reserves except the Claremont vs Swan Districts games which sees the Colts with an earlier start of 8:25am and the Reserves' bouncedown is set for 10:55am.

The weather is not looking great for Saturday at this stage with showers predicted and they'll mostly likely be in the afternoon and evening while the evening could also see a possible thunderstorm. The day should see a temperature of 20 degrees at this stage so a rain jacket will be required to stay warm and dry!

The long weekend produced some good games and hopefully we can see more of the same this weekend in Round 10. If you're at the games this week keep dry and happy tipping!!

Handy time to get a bonus point. Didn't look like it would happen at H/T off the Swans v Demons game but I'll take it and run.

Round 10 proved to be pretty tough for tipsters with a number of upsets occurring, most of the group scored one but andana was the pick of the bunch getting three tips correct for the round. Freezin picked up the bonus point this week, being only one of two tipsters to select Claremont and he was just one point off the actual margin, choosing 19 points which was just shy of the Tigers' winning margin of 20 points.

With 10 rounds complete we have gaskin in the lead on 29 points with Spanna_ and myself tied for second place with 28 points. The tie for fourth place has grown by one, with eight tippers now equal on 27 points.

Round 11 Fixtures

Claremont vs West Perth at Claremont Oval (2:15pm)
East Perth vs Subiaco at Leederville Oval (2:15pm)
South Fremantle vs Peel Thunder at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (2:15pm)
Perth vs East Fremantle at Lathlain Park (2:40pm, margin)

We head into Round 11 with all four games taking place on Saturday afternoon once again. The round begins with Claremont to host their third straight game at home with West Perth travelling to Claremont Oval to take on the Tigers. Both these clubs produced an epic in the final round last year and would be a good chance to do it again on current form so far this season. East Perth are back from their bye last week and play host to Subiaco in the battle of the Leederville Oval tenants while South Fremantle head home to Fremantle Community Bank Oval and will be looking to bounce back this week against Peel Thunder who have got themselves into some form in the last couple of weeks. The TV game this week sees Perth lock horns with East Fremantle at Lathlain Park in what is shaping up to be a big match. A win for the Demons and some favourable results could see them just percentage outside or perhaps inside the top five at the end of the round. The telecast gets underway at 2:30pm and is part of Channel Seven's nine hours of football on Saturday with the AFL coverage on Seven before our telecast game and then again on 7mate afterwards. There is a small overlap between this game and also the AFL coverage later in the evening so just a friendly reminder on that in case you aren't aware.

There are no changes in the other grades this week with all Colts and Reserves games to begin at 9am and 11:30am respectively.

The weather on Saturday is looking great with sunny conditions and 21 degrees expected. It'll be cool in the morning so a jacket will be needed if you're catching any of the earlier games that day.

Well a few surprise results last week made tipping a bit hard but that's a good thing for the competition. All four fixtures this week look fairly promising so hopefully we'll see some great games over the weekend. Happy tipping!!
