Round Six was a shocker if you're a tipster, a score of one was a pretty common theme thanks to a number of the favourites going down in upsets. Freofalcon did well to score three but it was samFFC who starred this week though tipping four of the five games correctly and picking up the bonus point to finish with five points for the round.

That's lead to some changes at the top of the leaderboard with samFFC shooting into the outright lead on 23 points with Freofalcon's good round seeing him move into second place on 22 points. Rounding out the top three is Miguel Sanchez a point further back on 21 points.

Round Seven Fixtures

Swan Districts vs West Coast Eagles at Steel Blue Oval (2:15pm)
South Fremantle vs East Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (2:15pm)
East Fremantle vs Perth at New Choice Homes Park (2:15pm)
Claremont vs Subiaco at Claremont Oval (2:15pm, margin)
West Perth vs Peel Thunder at HBF Arena (4:30pm)

Round Seven sees us back to five Saturday matches this week. The first match of the round has Swan Districts back at home to face the West Coast Eagles at Steel Blue Oval. Swans suffered a shock loss to East Fremantle last week dropping another game at home, they haven't won at home since Round Nine last season which was the Western Australia Day long weekend round last year and they'll be desperate to win in front of their home crowd. West Coast Eagles also didn't play well last week and went down to East Perth on Thursday in what was also an upset. Both teams find themselves out of the five and must win to get back some momentum. South Fremantle host East Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with both teams coming off wins. Souths knocked off Subiaco, ending the Lions' long winning streak while the Royals were impressive in their win against the Eagles on Thursday Night and could cause the Bulldogs some issues if they can maintain the performance they showed against the Eagles.

East Fremantle take on Perth at New Choice Homes Park with the Sharks keen to continue their winning ways after registering their first win last round. They take on a Perth side which suffered their first loss of the season after going down to West Perth in Round Six. Both clubs have had some good clashes in recent seasons and this looks to be another with each side having a lot to play for. The final game of the round has West Perth hosting Peel Thunder in a twilight match at the newly (again) named HBF Arena. The Falcons have won two games in a row, including an upset win over Perth last week and will go into the game full of confidence against a Peel Thunder side which came up short against the Tigers on the weekend. This promises to be an interesting game with the twilight fixture to make it even more so up at Joondalup.

Unfortunately there is no TV game this week so the margin game for this round is the Match of the Round with the traditional western suburbs rivals in Claremont and Subiaco to face off at Claremont Oval. Claremont have been solid this season and will be looking to consolidate their top five position against the Lions who had their first loss of the season last week, breaking what was a 25 match winning streak and a 42 match winning streak in home and away matches. Both clubs have been up and about in season 2019 so far so it is fitting that this game is the margin match in what is a big game for both clubs.

There's quite a bit of movement in the other grades for Round Seven In the Colts, the game between West Perth and Peel Thunder will get underway at 11am with the South Fremantle vs East Perth match starting at 11:30am. The East Fremantle vs Perth match is a night fixture starting at 6pm in Geraldton while on Sunday, Claremont will host Subiaco from 11am. The Reserves is a little more settled with the Claremont vs Subiaco and East Fremantle vs Perth beginning at their usual starting times of 11:30am, West Perth will take on Peel Thunder at 1:45pm with the South Fremantle vs East Perth fixture is a twilight game with bouncedown scheduled for 5pm.

The weather is looking reasonable for the weekend with a partly cloudy day of 20 degrees expected although there is a slight (20%) chance of a shower. Another cool start of eight is expected so it will be jumper weather early in the day.

Well we're back into the swing of things now with Round Seven upon us. Last week produced some upsets but also some good matches so hopefully we will see another set of great matches this weekend. Happy tipping!!
