Some great games were played over the weekend, particularly in the League with both games decided by under 10 points, South Fremantle got off to a good start against Claremont before holding off the Tigers while West Coast Eagles got off to a similar start against the West Perth, only for the Falcons to hit the front with a couple of minutes to go before a late goal saw the Eagles claim victory by three points.

RickSanchez tipped all six games correct this week while Kram and Monocle picked up the bonus points on offer over the weekend respectively.

After the first week of finals, RickSanchez and Kram are our joint leaders on six points each.

Finals - Week Two Fixtures

First Semi Final: Claremont vs West Coast Eagles at Revo Fitness Stadium (2:10pm, margin)

Reserves

First Semi Final: Subiaco vs East Fremantle at Leederville Oval (11:20am)

Colts

Second Semi Final: Peel Thunder vs Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium (8:45am)
First Semi Final: West Perth vs East Perth at Leederville Oval (8:45am)

The semi finals are here with all matches to be played on Sundays from here on in. The Second Semi final has Subiaco taking on South Fremantle at Leederville Oval. The Lions had the week off last week and will be out to knock off South Fremantle who saw off a fast finishing Claremont in the qualifying final last week. Both clubs have had a strong rivalry in finals over the past number of years and this game looks no different with both clubs playing some excellent football at times. The winner of this match will go straight through to the Grand Final so expect a fierce contest between the the first and second placed sides on the ladder this season.

The TV game this week is the First Semi Final between Claremont and West Coast Eagles at Revo Fitness Stadium. Claremont had a slow start against South Fremantle last week and despite a strong finish, they came up just short against the Bulldogs. The Tigers would dearly love another crack at of the second semi final combatants in a preliminary final so they'll be desperate to put in a strong performance against the Eagles on their home track. West Coast Eagles meanwhile mostly dominated against West Perth in the elimination final but wasteful kicking for goal almost cost them as the Falcons hit the front late in the game before a very late goal saw the Eagles claim a thriller by three points. After having to win their last game to make the finals, the Eagles have strung together some decent form in recent weeks and will fancy themselves of toppling the Tigers on Sunday. The telecast of this match gets underway at 2pm on Channel Seven with bouncedown at 2:10pm.

In the Reserves, Claremont are fresh off their week off in the first week of the finals and host West Perth at Revo Fitness Stadium at 11:20am in the second semi final while Subiaco and East Fremantle meet in the first semi final at Leederville Oval, also at 11:20am.

The Colts has Peel Thunder taking on Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium at 8:45am in the second semi final while it's a West Perth vs East Perth derby in the first semi final at Leederville Oval, also at 8:45am.

The weather is looking superb for the coming weekend. Sunday is expected to be sunny with a maximum of 24 degrees although the morning will be cool with a minimum of seven degrees predicted. Nonetheless, it will be a great day for football with some good games in the mix across all grades.

Well, the second week of the finals is here. One team will be in a Grand Final at the end of it, two more will see themselves move into a preliminary final while it will be season over for another side. There's some great games across the grades this weekend and with a great forecast for Sunday we will hopefully see some exciting games of footy on Sunday. Happy tipping!!

The semi finals didn't prove to be too difficult with most tipsters picking scoring five or better including a few who tipped a perfect round. andana scored the bonus point this week with his winning margin of six points matching Claremont's winning margin over West Coast Eagles on Sunday which also saw him score six points for the weekend.

Overall, RickSanchez has moved into the outright lead on 12 points, Kram is in second position on 11 points while Monocle is in third place on 10 points.

Finals - Week Three Fixtures

League: South Fremantle vs Claremont at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (3:10pm, margin)
Reserves: West Perth vs East Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (12:20pm, neutral venue)
Colts: Claremont vs West Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (9:45am, neutral venue)

It's week three of the finals series with the preliminary finals to take place on Sunday at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. South Fremantle meet Claremont in the League match-up, the second time in three weeks that these two sides will have met in this year's finals series. South Fremantle started well against Subiaco in the Second Semi Final but a goalless third quarter proved to be costly for the Bulldogs as their opponents kicked six goals of their own to stamp their mark on the contest. Claremont endured a tough fight against West Coast Eagles and managed to hold on in a tight game to progress through to a preliminary final. Both these sides met just a couple of weeks ago with South Fremantle getting off to a strong start before Claremont reeled in the Bulldogs and just fell short in the last term as the Bulldogs won by seven points. Another close match beckons with the clubs fairly evenly matched so we will hopefully see another solid contest between these two teams on Sunday afternoon. The telecast of this games begins at 3pm on Channel Seven with bouncedown scheduled for 3:10pm.

The Reserves' match between West Perth and East Fremantle will take place at 12:20pm on Sunday. The Falcons have been pretty solid all year and finished the season in second place, winning the qualifying final but suffering a large defeat to Claremont in the second semi final last week so they'll be keen to make amends and have another crack at the Tigers in the Grand Final. East Fremantle have had to do things the hard way, the Sharks sat at 4-6 after 12 rounds in sixth position but a good finish to the season saw them end the home and away rounds in fourth and post wins over East Perth and Subiaco in their finals matches so they'll enter the match full of belief with some momentum behind them.

In the Colts, Claremont face West Perth at 9:45am in the first match of the day. Claremont lost to Peel Thunder in the second semi final last week, going scoreless in the opening term and then goalless in the last quarter in what was not a great match for the Tigers, something they will hope to make amends for in the upcoming preliminary final. West Perth notched a nice win over rival East Perth in the first semi final last week and enter the game hoping to make up for a narrow defeat to the Tigers in the qualifying final by just five points.

The weather for Sunday is looking okay at this stage. The day is expected to be partly cloudy and there's a slight chance of a shower with a predicted maximum of 21 degrees so not too bad for the day at the moment.

Well, there's no more second chances from here with this match the last chance to qualify for a Grand Final. The winners will head into a Grand Final next week for a shot at a premiership while the losing sides will fall just short of making the decider. It's going to be a big weekend with some great games coming up so hopefully the weather stays clear and we can see four great games of footy. Don't forget, Channel Seven is also broadcasting the WAFLW Grand Final on Saturday between East Fremantle and Swan Districts at Mineral Resources Park. The telecast gets underway at 2:30pm with bouncedown at 2:35pm so if you're keen to see the best of WAFLW, make sure you tune in on Saturday afternoon. Happy tipping!!
