This week was much easier from a tipping perspective with most games heading the way of the favourites, the TV game between West Perth and Subiaco was a cracking contest and was the match that most of the tipping group was split on. Quite a few tipsters tipped the card this week with the bonus point being claimed by myself, selecting a margin of seven points which was closest to Subiaco's winning margin of three points.

With three rounds complete, Jimmy_the_Gent holds the outright lead on 13 points while there's a group of six who are tied for second place.

Round Four Fixtures (ANZAC Day Round)

West Perth vs East Fremantle at Provident Financial Oval (Saturday, 2:10pm)
Swan Districts vs South Fremantle at Steel Blue Oval (Saturday, 2:30pm)
Peel Thunder vs Claremont at David Grays Arena (Saturday, 2:40pm)
Subiaco vs West Coast Eagles at Leederville Oval (Saturday, 3:10pm)
Perth vs East Perth at Mineral Resources Park (Sunday 4:10pm, margin)

Round Four is upon us with five games this week spread across Saturday and Sunday, it's also the ANZAC Day round as well. The round begins with West Perth at home hosting East Fremantle at Provident Financial Oval in Joondalup. West Perth played an epic match against Subiaco last week, racing to a very handy lead early in the second term only to be reeled in before kicking four straight goals in the last term to take a handy eight point lead at the 25 minute mark of the last quarter. However, the Falcons conceded two late goals against the Lions to eventually fall short by three points, something they'll be keen to make amends from this week. East Fremantle proved to be too good for East Perth but a late lapse saw the Royals kick the last five goals of the game to take a bit of polish off the result with East's forward line looking dangerous all afternoon. Nonetheless, Old Easts head into the game with some decent form with West Perth perhaps unlucky to be sitting at 1-2 so this match should be an entertaining contest on Saturday.

Next up sees Swan Districts taking on South Fremantle at Steel Blue Oval a little later in the afternoon. Swans recorded a good win against West Coast Eagles last week with their running game working well against the Eagles while Matt Riggio's early season form continues from the evergreen midfielder. South Fremantle head to Steel Blue Oval off the back of a good win against Peel Thunder down at Pingelly Oval. The Bulldogs proved to be the better side all day before taking the foot off the pedal in the last to ease to their second victory of the season. With Swans up and about and Souths looking the goods, expect this to be another great game on Saturday afternoon.

Down in Mandurah, Peel Thunder battle Claremont at David Grays Arena with a 2:40pm start time. Peel Thunder were jumped by the Bulldogs last week as South Fremantle raced to a slightly better than four goal lead at half time before extending that to beyond six goals at the last change only for the Thunder to claw their way back somewhat in the last down in Pingelly. The Thunder will certainly be looking to start better against the Tigers who are undefeated after accounting for Perth last week at home. Jye Bolton was at his prolific best last week along with Bailey Rogers while Harrison McCracken's four goals led the Tigers up forward. With Peel Thunder having AFL listed Fremantle players at their disposal this year, expect this game to be a hard fought contest on the day.

The final game on Saturday is between Subiaco and West Coast Eagles at Leederville Oval. Subiaco endured another slow start last week, this time finding themselves down by 29 points in the second term only to kick seven of the next nine goals to lead at half time. The Lions then led by 16 points partway through the last term before conceding four straight goals to trail by eight points late in the last quarter. However, two late goals, including one from Greg Clark saw the Lions home in a thriller by three points to remain undefeated. West Coast Eagles didn't have their best game last week and found the going tough against Swan Districts having kicked just two goals at three quarter time. The Eagles did recover late, kicking six last term majors to add some respectability to the scoreboard by the final siren. This match is a twilight game starting at 3:10pm and follows all of the women's matches at the ground earlier in the day.

The TV game this week and therefore our margin match is the ANZAC Day game between Perth and East Perth at Mineral Resources Park on Sunday. Perth had their moments against Claremont early but a bad third quarter saw the Demons fall away and by then the damage was done despite a five goal last term. They'll be keen to turn things around, coming up against an East Perth outfit who went down to East Fremantle by 25 points last week, leaving them winless from the opening three rounds. Both teams head into this match with a point to prove and what better way to do it then on ANZAC Day as the TV match in front of what will hopefully be a bumper crowd. Bouncedown for this game is at 4:10pm with the coverage starting at 4pm on 7mate, following on from the AFL ANZAC Day clash on Channel Seven earlier in the day.

There's plenty of movement in the Colts and Reserves this week. The Reserves has games all over the place, Swan Districts vs South Fremantle is at the early timeslot of 9:50am, West Perth vs East Fremantle will start at 11:30am while Peel Thunder host Claremont at 5:20pm in what will be mostly a night game on Saturday. On Sunday, Perth take on East Perth at 1:40pm. The Colts is also a mixed bag with Peel Thunder battling Claremont at 7pm on Friday night while West Perth face East Fremantle on Saturday at 9am. There's also two Colts' games on Sunday with the matches between Swan Districts vs South Fremantle and Perth vs East Perth beginning at 1pm and 6:40pm (6:40pm seems optimistic to me) respectively.

The weather is looking fantastic for the long weekend, Saturday is set to be partly cloudy with a maximum of 31 degrees while Sunday will be mostly sunny with 32 degrees expected. The whole long weekend is looking great actually, a perfect weekend weather wise and for some footy.

Three rounds are done now as we head into the ANZAC Day round with a number of great games on the horizon. I hope everyone has a great long weekend and hopefully we will see some great games over the coming round too. Happy tipping!!
