Subiaco vs East Fremantle:

John Wooden - Picked up around 23 possies up to 3qrt time. Was used in the midfield and delivered the ball well to the Subiaco forwards.

Adam Selwood - Was opposed to David Sierakowski and would have won the honours. First game I have seen him play - could be a smokey to make his debut later on this season.

Michael Collica - Should be ready to play against Brisbane next week. Was more than useful down back, took some strong marks. His confidence and match fitness seems to be improving.

Mark Nicoski - Kicked 2 goals late in the game. One goal on the run reminded me of a young Simon Black. Needs to bulk up for next season, but is a kid we should definately hang onto.

Out of interest:

Chidzley (?) - Seems to be a good kid. Could be worth looking at him as a possible late draft pick (although I'd hope the Eagles go for Salecic from West Perth)

Peake - big wraps on this kid, but he failed to impress me. Made a few mistakes when he was under pressure. Could be ok but seemed out of place.

And for Suzi:

Luke Toia - Saw him play in the forward pocket where he kicked a set shot on goal. Was relatively quiet for Luke's standards - has he fully recovered from the flu?

West Perth vs Claremont

Callum Chambers - apparently was playing with a broken bone in his hand

Trent Carroll - Played for Claremont today - definately out of the Eagles lineup.

Swan Districts vs Peel

Ashley Hansen kicked 5 goals!

Wooden did have good disposal from what I saw of the game

Selwood? Think youll find it was Brent Staker, thought he throughly outplayed Siera. Would be Siera's last year on our list I'd say.

Collica was a suprise inclusion for the sharks as he copped an injury in the Foundation day derby. Shows how desperate he is to impress selectors I think. Had a pretty good game too.

Nicoski does definitely need to bulk up. So does Staker actually. Nicoski's goal from outside 50 in the first was a pearler and looked effortless too.

Peake will have a lot of pressure on him to be at the same level as his old man.

Sera also found himself on McPharlin at times when McPharlin went forward and suprisingly enough would IMO take the points from those contests, otherwise yes sera was beaten. Wooden was extremely good for Subi and Collica one of the only positives for the sharks in a 94 point loss. Also Nicovski MUST be kept on the rookie list next year, let him bulk up a bit i think hes a real goer (but is 20 now so would wanna start going a little more forcefully:D)

West Perth were terrific today in thrashing Claremont. Carroll was OK without looking particularly good.
Eagles past present & possible future listed below:

No Name TD K H M HR G B T FF FA I50 BG
29 LONGMUIR Troy 23 17 6 4 1 5 3 4 3 1 5 0
23 FEWSTER Brendon 18 15 3 11 1 6 2 1 1 5 3 0
32 LYNCH Quinten 18 12 6 6 0 4 0 1 3 2 7 0
37 SEABY Mark 16 5 11 4 0 0 0 0 2 2 0 0
20 LECRAS Brent 14 9 5 5 2 0 0 1 0 2 1 0
2 SALECIC Jason 11 3 8 1 1 0 0 1 0 0 1 0
1 DUCKWORTH Simon 10 5 5 1 2 0 0 1 0 0 3 0
45 CHAMBERS Callum 6 5 1 3 0 0 0 1 1 0 5 0

Seaby's ruck work was the springboard again - and he does it all on his own with big Ron out of the side. Picked up a lot of injuries though - Chambers looked pretty sore and didn't play in the second half. Lynch played really well in the second half and kicked several huge goals.

Keep going Chipper, EVENTUALLY wait of numbers has GOT to get you a game, same with Wooden!!!

Also good to see Chad rack up the possies

Also the fact Chippers possies were on a LOSING(bigtime) team it looks pretty good:)

Some very good WAFL performances there indeedy

I know a player trade post is more common around October, but would a trade between Troy Longmuir and Callum Chambers be a good one for us?

We have too many midfielders - Fremantle could always do with some more. We need forwards, Fremantle have a heap of them.

One area you seem to have alot of is in the ruck. Seaby is starting to perform although as we all know ruckmen are long term projects.

If Seaby is to wait behind Gardiner and Cox, he's in for a long wait, as the first two mentioned are only young.

The question is, if you think Seaby is going to be ok, do you look to trade him or Cox ?.

Remember as backups you will also have Lynch and Johnson.

I'd place Lynch and Johnson in the key position forward area although in an emergency Johnson could be used as a back-up ruckman.

I don't know any side that would play 3 ruckmen - so possibly Seaby or Gardiner could be used at CHF.
