How did ____ go on the weekend?

Why not consult the Alesana Player Video Database.

Does anyone know how the SANFL operates in relation to their 2 AFL clubs, salary cap, player restrictions etc. Do Port and the Crows pay dividends to the SANFL and if so how much ?
They were unbeaten in the U-18 championships and also has a huge number of players drafted.
They must be doing something right because they have a lot smaller population than W.A.

Confirms he’s staying on as a Beagle.

Livingstone undecided, being chased by a few WAFL clubs but not returning to Perth apparently.
I was momentarily confused by this and thought that he wasn't returning (geographically speaking) to the city of Perth, and was trying to figure out how he is going to play WAFL if he's not living in Perth.

I suspect it was either Jamo or Livingstone for the Beagles but not both.
Jamo can play a variety of roles unlike Livingstone.
Jamo's weak point could be injuries. Also think Jamo might not play all games if Afl/Beagles have a clear run of injuries.
As if Livingstone would want to play for the Eagles WAFL side 🤣

Tony Notte played the last 3 years of his career based in Busselton. Lived/trained there during the week and would drive up on weekends for matches.

In the 90s you had Andrw McKay doing a vet degree at the University of Queensland. He'd travel to Melbourne on the weekends or wherever for Carlton's games.

Joe Daniher lived in NSW when he was playing for/winning a flag with Brisbane but still drove to training every day. Bizarre wrinkle to his career.

Sounds a lot, but just looked it up and it's a 90 minute drive from where he was living apparently.

Like doing the drive from Perth to Lancelin, a long commute but not impossible

Confirming what Miguel Sanchez already discovered for us but nice to see something official be released on our WAFL recruits

23 players now, gonna need a couple more recruits.

Young Tom Bell from South Freo signed with the Crows SANFL, we should go down this route more.

If the Beagles get a lot better in 2026 (and, barring a catastrophic injury toll within our list, they definitely should since the midfield won't be a mix of hapless ammos and scrawny teenagers) I can guarantee there will be whining from around the WAFL about how the additional rookie spots from the AFL have given the Beagles an unfair advantage.

Bell is a 19 year old who hasn’t played senior game of WAFL. Feel like a lot our top ups have been blokes not good enough to crack their league sides.
We were also had interest in him last year during the draft. We haven’t filled that age bracket for key defender so having him sign with our wafl team and being able to train with our group we would get a better look.

Not every top up signing has to be a home run. We struggled for height in our defence in a few games when Bazzo , Brock had to play AFL.

There are a few different reason to recruit for the wafl imo. The 3 mature bodies coming in helps a lot plus the signing of ex-afl players go a long way to help bridging the gap but can also be a development path as well like Richmond VFL plus maybe what the Crows are looking at with Bell.

Jamieson’s certainly a handy WAFL player. Hopefully he can get on the park regularly this year. History tells us he’ll probably be busy running up steps at Mineral Resources Park and, it that’s the case, it’s a waste of a position.

Id like to see us go all out for Tom Blamires. VFL path seemed to not be working at. Put him in the WAFL team as our highest paid player and give him a run at the mid season spot alongside Watts
You’d think if the offer was right he would jump all over it. (Unless he is already signed) otherwise he might be the next Dom Brew.

I think he works for the Pies so they might offer something similar.

I think we are actually in a good spot with our WAFL side, barring lots of injuries. It’s a balance between having some good mature-aged mids but not too many, because more than likely when we’ve got a pretty healthy list there will be guys like Gross, Hall, Hutchinson, Davis, Fred, Allen and Allan who get squeezed out of the senior side but need some time through the midfield in the twos.

I think Freo had a pretty good balance last year with Brodie and Narkle as the more senior players at Peel.
