I only saw the last half of Claremont v EF but I was impressed with McCarrey and peel have a young 16 year old aboriginal that is going to be sensational. Ashley Blurton was very good too. I wonder if sometimes we delist to early. Great to see Lewie playing again...what a legend!

Yeah I saw Lewie playing a couple of weeks ago, Claremont v's Swans, it was great to see. I think the WAFL still has alot to offer spectators, well the few that actually go anyway! To see the excitement on the faces of the kids standing up near the huddles at the breaks, having a kick on the ground and basically just watching in awe at their idols - like Lewie, was great.

Chad Morrison played a good game for East Freo as did Andrew Embley for Swan Districs. Scott Cummings only kicked 1 goal for the Swans - although they probably had trouble getting the ball from the midfield to deliver it to him.

I went to the Swans v Perth game, Embley took a little while to settle down and was then very good. Hunter played quite well as did Glass and McDougall.

Cummings on the other hand was a liability for Swans. The young Perth player in his 8th game absolutely towelled him up. Put simply he was to slow and didn't lead. He never used his strength to his advantage and generally looked like he didn't want to be there.

I realise that he hasnt played there for eight years and didnt know any of the players but you would expect an AFL player to perform a little better.

ONe player that stood out on the weekend was a little aboriginal kid from Perth called Lynsey Woods. THe budget said he was only 17 and based on what I saw that kid may go a long way.

One kid i heard a lot about was that Polak guy. In only his second WAFL game he kicked 6 goals and totally took the opposition defence apart. And he only just turned 17 a few days/weeks ago.

Apparently he is being considered likely to be picked up no.1 in the draft, if he isn't, i believe the eagles should snare him at no.2.

Im starting to think we should be playing Buszan this season with Cummings rotating both players off the bench. Buszan is nearly on top of the goal kicking tally with 26 goals and he hasn't even played all the games from what I remember. What does the club have to lose?

I completely agree. He is our FF of the future

Dean Buzsan has played about 7 games and if he had kicked straight would have many more goals than his 20.
What has impressed me about him is ability to take a clean mark on a lead or in a pack.
