The whole waite situation is interesting. Who to believe. According to his wife, who posted a comment on one of his Instagram posts earlier today, he is loyal and wanted to stay and carlton didn't want him. Anyway it's all in the past now.

Probably taking the fact we wouldnt give in to their contract demands as us not wanting him.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know anythinf about his wife? I only know she was on wag nation

Waitey must not have liked Mrs. Malthouse's cooking

pretty pissed off that jarrad waite is leaving, if he plays every game next year there will be so much salt being rubbed into a big wound wont be funny. When up and firing he's in the best 5 forwards in the comp , so I cannot understand why people are saying good riddance , you will not be saying that next year. And can some one please explain to me why Melbourne get pick three for frawley and we get stuff all for waite, makes no sense to me. Just like we got nothing for betts leaving, I know the reason why but the whole process is so flawed its not funny. I am so over the AFL and how dodgy it is , have lost a lot of interest in the AFL now which is a real shame because I used to be a really really passionate supporter now I have lost interest,

Why ??

We want players who actually want to play for the club, not hold the club to ransom or price themselves out to the highest bidder.

These guys all get paid well and there is a limited life-span when it comes to their earning potential but wanting to be part of the club and its culture is just as important.

Any player who doesn't want to be part of Carlton has my blessing to leave, go elsewhere and enjoy yourself guys, we don't need you nor care, we are only interested in those who want to be a Bluesman !!

Maybe Ratten has a plan for him.
Dear god, please, no! We have enough damn forwards on our list and enough 30yr+ players.

IMO this is good for your club, you'll get some compensation who you can maybe trade on for a new, younger forward. Do you haven any up-and-comers in the VFL?

FFS..........can we move on people.

Jarrad Waite has been a favourite of mine since he came to the club. He has had his ups and downs and will be remembered as an
enigmatic player with tremendous ability.

The circumstances of his departure can be discussed ad nauseum. He gave us service for over a decade, trained, rehabbed, copped our
abuse along with our adulation which with this "loyal" band of supporters can change week by week. No doubt he has been torn during
the process, if he was undecided when visiting MM then a quick perusal of Big Footy and I dare say other social media would have promptly
helped him with his decision to leave. I do not criticise those annunciating their disappointment, but the outright "hate" is hard to take.
No doubt his wife played a part in the process as well. The game is changing, player movements are going to escalate....accept it.

As for our list, he has done us a favour. We were facing the prospect of losing Judd, Carrrazzo, Waite, potentially McLean, Simpson, even
Jammo within a 1 or 2 year window. His departure will assist the transition. Hendo, Levi and Watto if they play to potential will get the job done.
We have the prospect of adding the likes of Jaksch and Jones to the mix. JW would have given us some great moments, even games for
a year or even maybe 2, but would not have helped our development, keeping a young player out, while demanding a sizeable chunk of
the pie.

Thanks for the memories Waitey. We all know a significant percentage of sporting, showbiz and media identities never grow up, and thus
lack the social skills and sensitivity to adequately handle life's twists and turns. The manner of your departure has diminished your standing
in the eyes of your supporters. , hopefully all parties can get over it, and move on.

Well said. Especially the last paragraph. Leaves a bitter taste, but it's a bi-product of loss and the grieving process. Will miss JW but hopefully the club gets a few of these prospects we are linked to and we move on into 2015. Go Blues.

It is a win-win for both parties. Carlton needs to move on and replace him. Jarryd probably got a little lazy in the past three years and his performances reflected this. It will be interesting to see if Warnock is traded. A lot of clubs looking for a ruckman. If a club came along and made an offer for Kreuzer would you consider it?
What would you demand in return, within reason?

He's been officially gone 2 days and you're demanding people move on? Then you go and have your own 4 paragraphs about it.

Ultimately it seems like it could be a good thing as we are finally forced into looking for a more long term solution.
Might even help us get Jaksch as he apparently wants to play regular AFL footy, which he might not have if Waite stayed.
Also can't help but feel it would help the culture and work ethic of the club.

Having said that the club seemed to really want to keep him, so Waite must have been a big part of our plans still for next few years.

Love your work MM but move on, just say your disappointed he left and leave it at that, no need to make it personal.

Jarrad obviously had his issues and is a complicated cat, rumours of not getting on with MM and also Ratts in the past. A fit, firing consistent JW may have lifted us into the top 6, could anyone see that happening? Maybe a new beginning for both club and player will be a win /win for both parties

Disappointing to lose Waite but not overly surprised to see him go.

Players have every right to do what they believe is best for their careers but I can't help but feel Jarrad will ultimately regret his decision when he reflects once his career has come to a close.

He is part of a family with very strong ties to the club and I think he's tarnished that to a large extent. He'll unfortunately be forever remembered as someone who made a poor choice to sever the ties with a club that his father in particular worked so hard to form.

There are very few players privileged enough to play 200+ games and kick 250+ goals for the Carlton Football Club and he has thrown away the opportunity to do exactly that.

The laziness and selfish attitude which has been with Jarrad throughout his career has carried right through to his final act as a representative of the CFC. Rather than take the offer in front of him with a guarantee of one year with very reasonable targets to trigger a second, he has seemingly opted to accept either of a guaranteed second year or terms where that second year is easier to achieve.

Despite the poor taste this leaves in the mouth I feel compelled to thank him for his services. A genuine thank you to Jarrad for serving the club as well as he did and I hope he is not lost to the club post-football. Sure he was a frustrating figure throughout, but we shouldn't forget the 12 years he spent at the club and the highlights he provided us throughout.

Having said that, I wish him absolutely no luck at his new club. To taste success in his final years would in his mind prove his behaviour to be justified.

As a club, we move on. We're better off without those who don't want to be here and he will be replaced by someone whose effort and application will not be conditional.

Yep officially gone 2 days, but the bitter and twisted have been ranting for weeks. I am over it, the individuals wanting to continue to malign,
throw up rumour and innuendo designed to denigrate the bloke further. None of us will ever know the offers, counter offers, his interaction with the
other players and the "fans", but many have taken on the task of throwing fuel on the fire.

The mental scars on JW will be far greater than they will be on any of you. The "revelation" of his attitude and work ethic being poor as some want
to depict, it is a bigger slight on the club than it is on Waite. Strange it took 13 years to see the light of day on here. Again if it is the case, he is well gone.

The future holds much more interest with me than the past Thy.
