In time I think Waite could prove to be our MOST VITAL and VERSATILE player...
I envisage him playing a Richo-type role for us but not until about 2010 once we get our permanent CHB and CHF...
The only difference will be he will spend more time inside either the forward or defensive 50 than richo probably does...
In saying that he does have the tank to be that floating wingman ala Richo...
Soon to be know as SWINGMAN JARRAD! as he swings from end to end...

I could just be tripping balls in all the excitment mind you...

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Was great to see him back in the forward line on Sunday. Given how much Jamo and Carlos have improved, and that we also have Thornton down there, I just wonder if Ratts and the MC might make Waites move back to the forward line a little more permanent.

I don't think we'll see Waite up forward on a permanent basis.

However, when there is no real match up for him down back, there's no point in him being there as a spare man, nor should he be on the bench.

He's shown he can be a very damaging forward.

Against the Pies, especially with Rocca out, there was no suitable match up for him. Setanta was doing a great job on Cloke, and the Pies, because Rocca was out, had no other tall forward really.

Against the Bombers, we might see the same. Lloyd and Lucas are the main threats, and someone like Neagle also needs to be minded. We have Jamison, Setanta and Thornton that are more than capable of going to them before we think of Waite going to one of them. Ratts will know this, so don't be surprised if we see Waitey go forward at some stage during the game.

Right now, given the substantial improvement of our backs, i think we need Waitey across HF if we are to play finals THIS year. Our forward structure still desperately needs another avenue, Fev needs a chop-out and Waite is perfectly capable of playing that role - at least until Harts steps up.
