I keep hearing that Jaz will miss the first 5 games or so, what happened did he reinjure his knee or was he always going to miss that amount of time?

If this is true then we are going to have a bad start next year with juddy missing the first three as well:(

when he first did it they expected him to miss the start of the season. i guess no news is good news.

one thing is for sure, if he is to take some responsibility for kicking goals for us next season, we cant afford for him to miss any games.

He was walking without a brace or limp on GF day at The Royal Derby. Didn't seem to have any trouble weaving his way through a crowded pub, but wasn't at full pace. He and Eddie kept their heads down and stayed quiet like good boys too.

I know for one that he is doing well with the knee..
I saw him at the bullants gf nd he said all is going well
and he should be back round one!!!

Bluebear is probably the best placed poster to answer this question, however, it will be a tick over 10 months when Waite had his reco when round 1 comes around.

Reckon it will be touch and go if he is ready for round 1.
Spot on HBF.

Average recovery time is between 9 and 12 months. It can depend on the surgery type, post op recovery (swelling, stiffness etc) but mainly just how well the body copes with the rehab.

If he goes really well and it strengthens well, doesn't have any swelling or stiffness he may be right at 9 months, play some time in the NAB cup and then be a possible for round 1.

If he goes to 10 or 11 months then he won't have really played prior to round 1 and I would expect him to resume with a couple of games in the Ants first.

He is in good hands with our rehab crew. If he isn't quite right they won't risk him.

As HBF said, touch and go for round 1. Wouldn't surprise me to see him play some limited minutes in the NAB cup then go back to the Ants for a couple.

The week we played our first final there was a video on CFCTV for the Musashi trainer of the week and he was doing bike sessions everyday to strengthen the knee. Can't wait (seen this pun soo many times) to see him in action and do a repeat of rnd1 this year :)

Read somewhere that he's off to Queensland to see a surgeon to make sure things are on track. Can't waite to have him back!
We have some of the best knee surgeons in the world right here in Melbourne so that would be very unusual.....unless his Melbourne based surgeon was holidaying and he just couldn't wait for an appointment.

If Waite has gone the Qld it will be for a holiday........or maybe to see Fev.:D
