I thought he was either going to be named in the team or get another week in the VFL but I was not expecting him to be named as an emergency.
Whats the deal with that? Its bewildered me a little bit..
Does anyone think he will end up being a late inclusion?

i reckon there will be a late change he will come in for someone because otherwise he wouldnt be named emergency

More than one player is named as an emergency, and more than one player each week who is named in the emergencies plays in the Ants.

he had better play. I am gutted he is not named.

Why?
The club will bring him back next week. One more game with the Ants will hopefully iron out any minor issues he has with his disposal. This was something that Matty Lappin spoke of in his preview on the Carlton website earlier in the week.

^ Exactly, it's not such a big deal and from Lappin's comments it didn't sound like he was a certainty for this week.

Gytted as in dissapointed. I want to see him play. i miss him.

Thats stupid bigpond site wont work.

Walker comes in and smashes the Saints or the Swans, no difference to me :D

He could make the potential dull games exciting....by dull i mean the style of play from the Swans and Swans Mark II

True but you could say in context to our season, it would be better if he could come out and smash the saints this week which would put us in good stead and go for 3 in a row rather 2 losses in a row next week.
Still pretty disappointed he won't be playing on Friday night.

In context, we have done pretty well without him so far, so one more week won't make a difference.

Plus it will make him more hungry for next week!!

Setanta out, Walker not in? must have seen something good in the NAB cup, tanking???

Not happy with the selections.
Well if Walks came in for Irish, who would Juddy slot in for?

i am:) good opportunity for the kids anderson and edwards to show their talent
I don't see why people are kicking up a fuss about Walkers injury. I mean, we all saw what happened when we brought him in pre-maturely against the Doggies pre-season this year, and yet a lot of posters on here are begging for him to come back into the line-up early, again? Makes no sense to me.

Yes, because playing in the Ants will safeguard him against re-injuring his shoulder.

Your logic makes no sense - if Walker is right to play Ants, then the club must be confident he's right to go. Obviously, for whatever reason, they don't think he's ready for AFL level just yet, but that reason isn't fear he'll injure his shoulder yet again.

Meh, I suspect Walker won't be at the club next year (he's great trade bait IMHO)

I have a feeling Collingwood will make a big play for Walker. He has genuine class and will really add to their midfield. I'm pretty sure they will be willing to give up their first round pick this year too.
