Wouldn't surprise me.

Don't people without one of the senses become really good at using one of their other senses? Like a blind person with their hearing or a deaf person with their vision.

A normal person basically making themselves deaf while driving is still going to drive like they hear things and won't use their eyes as much. That's my theory anyway.

There was an article somewhere recently about the legality of driving with headphones.

(Referring to NSW law) it said the was no specific law against it, but could result in prosecution of you have an accident, coming under the umbrella of "not being in proper control of your vehicle".

I thought it was illegal in vic, atleast I was told so

People driving with headphones are probably not concentrating on driving a lot. Deaf people would be concentrating on the road only.
