Time to quit the post mortums and what ifs and to celebrate the best season with the most wins and highlights for a long long time.

Of all those highlights, our trio of indigenous forwards provided the most froth and bubble. All three made the Top 10 goalkickers list; Walks with 56 and Eddie with 50 both cracked the half ton while Jeff with 48 almost joined them.

So raise your glasses to 154 goals between them. And a lazy 242 tackles.

Well done lads, a mighty effort.:thumbsu:

Not so sure if the three will ever reach the lofty heights goal total wise, especially with an addition of a power forward alongside them but their damage will be even more significant.

Tremendous combined efforts. :thumbsu:

Step aside the Three Amigos we now have the Fantastic Four.

The great thing about this trio is they're young and can contribute for plenty of years to come. The tackling pressure they apply is also perfect for AFL circa 2011, so even when they don't have the ball they're valuable.

For individual improvements I'd like to see:
- Walker present more consistently on the lead
- Betts get front and square more than involving himself in marking contests
- Garlett to get physically stronger and impact more contests

But they really are an exceptional "supporting cast" for a forward line. Just need to main course, now.

I would nearly go as far as saying that the tackles were more important to our success than the goals. You obviously need the points on the board to win games, but the reason why we were so successful this year was because of a lot of brilliant forward pressure.

Agree with this. Jeffys chasing and tackling was terrific and Eddie was an absolute assassin when in range. Walks didn't do as much tackling but he was always chasing and his shepherding was sensational.
