Wallace - deliberately low key?

Schwab. They were crap so they had a clean-out.

Dew is a very handy pick-up, an ideal replacement for Ben Dixon.

Dew is a better player than Dixon(sorry Dicko) that is fact, so if he gets his fitness up we will be in finals again.

Schwab thought his window of opportunity was there for a flag, but once he missed that he had no idea how to rebuild a team. Pelchen came and has changed everything, from top to bottom.

The goalkickers we have are all now in their 4th or more years and with Dew beside them we will kick more than 2 goals per quarter in a final.

Same cant be said about Richmond young forwards who are in their 3rd or 4th years, such as Pattison and Hughes. These guys arent even playing in the firsts.

We picked up Buddy and Roughhead and Tigers picked Deledio and Tambling. I wonder what the general public think now.

Please stop mentioning Roughead in the same sentence as Buddy.

It nearly makes me want to vomit.

Wallace isn't saying much because we got nothing to brag about.

Pattison played 18 games in 2007 and 15 the year before. Hughes has played 2 seasons (10 games).

Pelchen didn't want Dew, Clarkson did.

Pattison played almost every game, Hughes is in his third year now.

Speaking of forwards not showing much (ie. balls) how's Dowler travelling.

You are right mate, you do have nothing to brag about.

I never said Roughhead is in the same league as Buddy, not many players are, but he is still a very good player.
I know a lot of Tigers fans who would've preferred Roughie over Tambling.
Another bit of Pelchen magic.

Well you probably wouldve said that about Shane Woewodin too.

He was a cheap pick-up, Melbourne paid a good chunk his wages for a couple of years. They are charitable like that, the Lions gvet Travis Johnstone on a similar subsidy this season. He was servicable - not nearly as bad as some people would like to make out. However lack of quality and pace in our list meant he wasnt really a good fit for us, because we already had too many plodders in a similar age bracket.

Not that thats got anything to do with the price of chips.

Why not mention Roughy, I mean if Richmond had a 20yo KPP who kicked 40 goals in a season they would be hailing him as the next Coleman.

Terry has been spin-doctoring for so long now, it is hard to keep track of time.

Especially with no steady progression in improvement in the Richmond team to help put the mighty 5 year plan into a frame of reference.

Spin doctoring...as opposed to nothing but constant whingeing from your man Lethal Leigh.
Every press conference he attends turns in to a whinge about how bad off Brisbane get it, despite gaining more concessions over the years than Australia's entire populatuion aged over 70 does!!!!
Yeah, you've had it hard!

Dowler is starting his third year but only his first full preseason. He broke his hip when drafted if i remember correctly.

What was Hughes's excuse? or Oakley Nichols, Casserley's and Meyer's.

The list of unfulfilled potentials will continue to haunt Richmond.

Meyer showed enough to warrant strong interest from your Hawks in the trading period!

Usually the pre seaosn is when Wallace shines with lots of quotes and statements about the state of play re the competition and his Tigers.

yet this year haven't heard boo from him.

Has Wallace been told by the club to tame down his media exposure, is this a deliberate action or the media just not reporting him in the same vein?

Might have learnt its pretty hard to talk yourself up when you were hopeless the previous year. The only way to show it is on the field, not on the mic.

Most stories you hear in trade week are crap, and if we did show interest in Meyer I'm sure we were trying to get him for next to nothing, which is what he is worth. Nothing eventuated because Miller probably was dreaming again and wanted something like a first pick for him.

So they took a punt on an injured player. Whats Richmonds excuse?

He was taken at pick 34 or something. There is a big difference between 6 and 34. Hes been around for 2 years, shown he is capable with some 3 goal hauls. Just needs to get a better attitude and things will start going his way.

Pelchen didn't want Dew, Clarkson did.

Pelchen has said he has power of veto on all recruiting decisions and he would have used it if he didnt want Dew - You do realise Richmond finished absolute bottom of the ladder last year, face it your team is sh!thouse. After 3 years with Wallace back to were you started and seemingly where Richmond belong if history is anything to go by.

So thats his excuse. He was pick 34 and under Richmond's culture of failure, is not expected to be any good.

Laughing at the expense of a young developing player, in order to prove a point, is pretty poor form. Richmond supporters having a go at Dowler..... despite the fact he's been severely hampered by injury, and is only early in his football days, Richmond were dead keen on him at 8 if he had slipped through, so I'm not quite sure in the logic of this debate.

Richmond have a pick 1 & 4 from a few years back who arent doing to well as players at the moment, maybe Richmond fans should worry about them rather than our pick 6.
