LOL :D One tongue in cheek remark that we should get rid of him and the bulk of you walk into a sucker punch .

IMO , big mistake to play Richo up the ground . I can hear those Hamstrings twanging as we speak . Physically , his body is not up to running marathons out at CHF anymore . His frame is too big and heavy for his legs to carry him around like that .

That has been a proven medical fact over the last three seasons.

Stand him in the goalsquare and let three blokes jump all over him every week ......... except now........ we have a coach smart enough to exploit the fact that if there are three blokes all over Richo , that means there are two players running lose .

Frawley could never work that out .

delist him hah? lol. He probably has 3-4 years left averageing 70 goals a season. Delist him? Nah I don't think so lol

Spot on. I think Infamy also stated that we would be a walk up start in all other clubs. That is also true. These kind of players do not come around all that often.

All good things come to those who wait...

I didnt post this thread so much about Richo. More about Wallace. I reckon Wallace's first test as the RFC coach is getting more out of Richo. And if Richo throws one of his tantrums, I'm keen to see how Wallace deals with it.

I don`t reckon it is a matter of "if" 1980 , more a case of "when" .

Richo is one Leopard too old to change his spots

How many coaches has Richo had now? None of them have been able get the best consistently out of him so there isn't really any reason to believe that Wallace will. Robert Walls was always considered as a hard coach but that didn't help in getting the best out of Richo, although you could argue 96 was Richo's best season when kicked about 90 goals for memory.

The mind games started months ago. Everyone's playing FF except Richo.

My theory on this is that none of our previous coaches seemed to be prepared to make the big lug spend half a game on the pine.

I'm not sure Wallace will either - he seems to be a big Richo fan.

I'll be interested to see how he reacts when his free-wheeling floating half forward's direct opponent starts kicking goals on the rebound.

Have a look at the game where Richo kicked 10 this year.

At times he was on the wing, hff, forward pocket, etc.

This is the role that Richo will have in 2005.

Running with the flight of the ball towards goal.

And Simmonds/Stafford will provide the Wall to protect Richo running in
