Wallis bid to be derailed?

Mozzie Bite coach amos has hinted an opposition coach is preparing to make a bidding pitch for Mitch Wallis. Speaking at his regular morning media conference, amos was candid,

We've had one inquiry about trading pick 2 and it seems the intention was to use it to get Wallis out of Sante's reach.

Western Vultures coach Sante has selected pick 27 to take the star midfielder, knowing that his twenty pick buffer should be enough to scare most coaches off, or at least those within pick 7 to 27 range. Asked if the pick 2 trade was a possibility, amos admitted,

We're out trying to strengthen our list so sure, when coaches coaches enquire to us and say listen amos, we want your pick 2, and we'll give you this and that, then we'd be stupid to not at least listen. At the end of the day though, if it doesn't come through, it doesn't come through. We don't lose anything listening.

AFL Team Manager belief Pie4Life and peterss have been speaking to the Mozzie Bite coach, but amos was coy,

Sorry guys, I can't go there.
