He's certainly one of those players who struggles to break a tag. Has no other outlying assets to fall back on if getting tagged. Not an overhead threat, nor a goal scoring weapon.
This is where Rozee and Horne-Francis have the upper hand.

2023 was his first finals playing as an on-baller, performed about what u would expect, nothing bad nothing exceptional, then played 2024 finals with a cracked collarbone and broken ribs.

David King did a segment a few weeks ago about how Butters was untaggable. He's a clear second in the coaches votes now despite playing 5 less games than everyone else.

Walsh has done nothing in the last 4 seasons of note apart form the gary ayres, rozee came top 5 in coaches votes 2 seasons in a row (2022,2023) im pretty sure.

Walsh' first 3 seasons of his career have been great, but since then apart from 3 games in the finals of 2023 he has been very underwhelming.

Rozee is already his clubs captain, multiple time AA, multiple top 5 finishes in the coaches votes, i think its safe to say he has had a better career than walsh, due to walsh doing nothing of note since 2021 (bar being the best in the comp for 3 games in a row)

Walsh's body hasn't really let me have a fair crack at it since his early years. Shame as he's a terrific player.

Butters had a sensational year, but can't argue with Smith's AFLCA award in terms of "current" level.
