He pretty much called time when he got his AA jumper, and even as early as before then he started to show the signs he does today. I've been hammering on him for years.

I don't care who you are, but I lose respect in any player at AFL level who resort to diving and acting even if it's our own players. He's been a bootleg Lindsay Thomas for years now in an attempt to compensate for his lack of speed and regular awful ball use.

He's 31 too but whinges more than all the kids we have out there combined.

Not joining in a pile on Walters but I will say we can’t replace him because we don’t draft small forwards. Ever. At all.
We don’t even have wingers except Chapman who will no doubt start back next week with our 15 other half backs.
Watching Ryan & Rioli practically keep the Eagles alive today I kept thinking, why don’t we draft any dynamic, creative forwards? All we have are plodders.

I know we drafted him as a midfielder but we need to play Western as a small forward. Has good goal sense and is lightning fast, imo with his height it's the only place he'll succeed at AFL level.

Forward line is still a gaping abyss and will stay that way until the youngsters come through, Sturt and Erasmus need to be fast tracked and the coach needs to get creative. Logue forward? He is an average backman maybe the simplicity of leading at the ball would give him a new lease of life?

Unfortunately what I saw of Amiss yesterday did not fill me with any great optimism. He has a long way to go and Benning even longer.

Walter's is passed it I am afraid, Does not have the pace and the opposition and umpires are wise to his playing for free kicks.
