yep an Alwyn Davey or a Matty Campbell would have been pretty handy right now

LMAO – not the one who used to commentate on Fox Footy…..we know you bleed Red and White but that’s going a bit far. Isn’t he like 50 now? :D :D

I tell you what though, Motlop better not play, he always kicks a bag and takes a few hangers whenever he plays in the SANFL. And why do all the AFL players always seem to play against Norwood. :o

You have been a bit unlucky with that haven't you. I am pretty confident Motlop will line up tomorrow night, he was superb last year in his first game for North, I doubt he will go back to the Power just yet as they are winning.

who around the league would like at getting as a forward line crumber?
the only ones on the trade table i can think of would be:

Sampi and Leon Davis, dont think id want either but if i had to pick id prob go for Sampi

4:30 now young son.

Sorry I will calm down.
Is it really 4:30, I thought it was 5:30? Let’s hope you are right, means the anxious wait is an hour less. :p

Be honest with you, I don’t think he is ready but if he is I will be bloody stoked for him because young kids inject a level of excitement in the team and the crowd.
Pfeiffer is more ready that Douglas was when he made his debut. Pfeiffer has the perfect build for the AFL as he’s very solidly built whereas Douglas was extremely light when he made his debut and is still a little too light for my liking.

Unless you mean mentally ready or the fact he’s recently returned from his fractured cheekbone?

Hahah no not that one, the aboriginal lad who was drafted by the Kangaroos this season

Hay RL – what can you tell us about Wade Thompson?

He is a young indigenous lad in the North Adelaide Magoos – all I know is he is very quick (100 – 800 meters)

And what about Matty Campbell’s brother –did he get drafted?

Joel Campbell was on Melbourne's list a few years back, he decided to come down to North from the NT on advice from the Motlop's I think and Matty tagged along. Joel had a few mental issues with football and has spent time at Gepps Cross. When he's in form he's a very good player but Matty is better.

Wade Thompson is a very good talent, he is very quick and has a bright future. A funny story about his reserves debut last year.. it was a night game at Elizabeth i think and he left school, ran to the train station and caught a train out to the footy, ran to the ground and got there a bit late but ended up getting best on ground. It says a lot about his character i think.

The mental side of the game, does he have football smarts?

He is an intelligent footballer (like James Hird) or an imbecile who cannot read the game but is very good at playing. He hasn’t played a lot of senior football had he?

If he get selected, I will be happy as the Neil Craig and the match committee know more about the game than I do.

Pass on those 2.

Stiffy for mine, he has been adequately covered in the backline and we have other that can also do the role.

Back when Darren was drafted, wasn't he rated in the top three best midfield talents in the draft or something? And everyone here thought he'd be the first to get a game with us despite some mature age midfielders being picked up as well (in the end was it only his lack of discipline that prevented him from bursting onto the scene earlier?).

Cool, how far away is he from a league game? :thumbsu:

My mum is his school teacher.

No idea when he will play league but it could be soon as North are copping injuries like the Crows.. his body will be able to stand up to league footy though as he is reasonably solid. I think he played a couple of league trials but not 100% sure.

He’s played 12 senior games all up, spread out over 3 years. He played a few games late in 2005 as a 17 year old, played a few late last year and played his first official game of the year last week.

I would say he’s a pretty intelligent player, tends to go to the right areas and can win a fair bit of the ball. I can’t pinpoint a weakness in his game as he is reasonably strong in all areas. Courage, tremendous vertical leap, strong tackler, versatile and good skills. He will be a very solid AFL player; I just hope it begins on Saturday!

2 or 3 quarter over a few different games.

OK Drummond you have convinced me that he is ready for a call up.

I was hoping for Luke Jericho to get a game but now I really want Darren Pfeiffer to get Brent Reilly wing.

What do we call him?

Well I know that Kevin Sheahan rated him pretty highly. From memory his vertical leap score of 72cm was the best in his draft year and he went under 3 seconds in the 20 metre sprint. Stress fractures in his back coupled with discipline issues ruined any chance he had of playing for the Crows last year. But he’s bounced back very well.

Joel was a late inclusion for Daniel Motlop tonight and was very, very good. Hopefully he can continue on with this form.
