This is a sensitive area for some. With that in mind, I'm going to remind a few posters a few things:
  • personal attacks are against forum rules. From this point, any attacks that are directed at another poster will be treated with a warning, then infractions and threadbans if it continues.
  • the spread of misinformation is also against the rules. This is taken very seriously by moderation, and you will be asked to support your opinion from time to time. If you cannot satisfy this, you will be provided an opportunity to retract your post; if you do not, you will receive an infraction and a threadban on that basis.
This is a forum for adults, and I'd appreciate you all treating each other appropriately.

Do you have any evidence that the Russians require soldiers be in a school in order to bomb it.

They seem to be destroying all the schools, then if there were any soldiers in any of them, saying its Ukraine's fault.

We are in Ukraine indiscriminately bombing and shelling civilians because there were soldiers in that school over there. If the Ukrainians didn't hide in schools, we would have stayed in Russia.

It's unfortunate, but we saw there were some soldiers in a school, so we thought we had better invade and level the city. What can you do

Definitely this. Russians will bombard civilian areas regardless of who is there. They need to demoralise / remove local populations and then replace them with Russians. It's the playbook they follow with all their invasions.

So that airbase that wasn't hit by the UAF but Igor smoking and caused no damage to aircraft or civilians.

Looking at the footage, those numbers are pretty close to the mark.

So after the Moskva, the catastrophic river crossing over the Inhulets, this is without a doubt this is the most unmitigated disaster in Russian air force history.

Quite funny how all of a sudden the Russian ministry and media have shut up and have not mentioned it.

The reason they are saying this is all political.

The Kremlin have been all huff and puff on how attacking Crimea would mean war and unleashing hell.

If they acknowledged this attack, they would have to declare war and mobilise. Putin does not want this as internally he knows the majority of those who would be mobilised, the youth don’t want this war. There is a huge risk that instead they will revolt.

Last time the Russian army revolted, the 1917 revolution happened…..
It's because "mobilisation" is an empty threat. They're already throwing all their best troops and equipment at Ukraine and failing. There's no point mobilising more conscripts. All they are is meat for the grinder and they've already got plenty of that.

There's no military advantage to a "full mobilisation".

Mobilisation is not on the table. That would mean mobilisation of ethnic Russians from Moscow / St Petersburg / well off mostly ethnic Russian areas which would lead to an enormous pushback.

This must have been the Russian air defence system that was being utilised in Crimea prior to the attack......

Chairman of the Russian security council showing he is on top of things. Bloke in the background is like WTF?

I don't know how to speak Russian but I think the translation of the video is:
"Of coarse the Russian head military contractor isn't skimming funds into his bank account. Why'd you think that?"

But seriously, I think those things must be there either as a poor display of propaganda or are decoys to try to fool satellite photos or air survaillance.

This is how the current mobilisation efforts in the Donbas region are going.

It's always about the resources. Farmland, minerals, oil, gas.
that
Or religious extremists (ie. every war in the middle east ever that America HASNT been involved in)

That's just a lever to get the population behind the wars for resources.
