No surprise here

And just to reinforce the stupidity of Russia forces Operator Starsky reminds us that they dug trenches in Chornobyl

As a Ukranian soldier once put it "we're lucky they are so ******* stupid".

This is almost Wile e Coyote type stuff if true.

Also Russian TG channels were straight after the explosion posting about “controlled flooding” to get rid of the UAF on the islands in the Dnipro river. So they were admitting their own actions.

Once these idiots realised that Russia and competent don’t belong in the same sentence and saw how fcuked up their actions were, there was a mix of Ukrainian did it/the dam collapsed itself/controlled explosion, until everyone got the memo to stick to the same narrative where Russia wasnt involved.

The cat was out of the bag however.

Russians always do this. They did it with MH17. Did it again with the 2015 Maruiopol bombing (Russia vetod a UN resolution to internationally condemn this but reckons they didn't do it) and did it again with the Kramatorsk train station attack. They only start their ridiculous conspiracy theories when they realise they've actually committed a horrific war crime.

As for the Russians blowing the dam it is clear this is a tactic to slow the Ukranain counter offensive to retake all of Kherson oblast. They've now created a giant obstacle for the Ukranians to traverse for which they can now happily shell from a safe distance on shore.

Of course the people downstream in Kherson suffer big time and the everyday resident in Crimea but that doesn't bother the Russian fascists in the slightest. Their only concern is not losing territory back and they'll let as many civilians die as possible to meet this target.

Just came across a post on another forum which hasn’t been examined yet and might become an issue for the terrorists.

Not only have they destroyed their front line defences including equipment and ammo storages downstream, what the dumb orcs failed to realise is that they have now opened a possibility of low lying areas upstream of the dam being exposed once the water level settles, leading to areas where the UAF may be able to actually cross the river with attacks…

The last 30 secs of this video touches on what you mentioned in the last part of your post, that blowing up the dam will make it worse tactically for Russia than better once the water recedes.

Pretty much the river will be thinner making it easier to cross and providing more points where it can be crossed.

Also the Russians would have spent all their time building defensive lines downstream of the dam, and not upstream as they have never expected an attack via that route. They better start sending their forces away from other critical fronts to start digging trenches!

Bulgaria just voted in a pro Western government despite the best endeavours of Russian influenced parties.

They're looking to get straight into helping Ukraine.

I am right in saying that the dam created a lake on the Dnipro which was quite wide and not easily forded.

Now once the water washes out into the Black Sea, there will be many new crossing points that weren’t there a few weeks ago…. The question is how long until that mud dries up and then allows vehicles to cross here near Nikopol?

Nikopol'

Or further up or down the river, now that this lake is gone.

It’s so short sited to blow up that dam and makes things much easier for an attacking force to now land on the South side of the former lake.

Russia's puppet Belarus tried to gain a seat on the 15 member UN Security council to create an axis of evil, but in a vote were defeated by Slovenia. And this after putting their name down 16 years ago......

The residents of Ukraine with their very accurate thoughts of the UN.

The Guardian - "Nato members may send troops to Ukraine" (individually and distinct from Nato, and if security guarantees prove insufficient)

Been expecting this to happen for awhile from the likes of Romania, Poland, Finland and the Baltics. They are directly affected by Russian aggression and they need to ensure that Russia does not win.

There are apparently reports on Russian SM of Ukrainian attacks with heavy armour along the Zaporozhye front

It maybe the Ukrainians are moving south fast, as updated reports suggest fighting south of Tokmak, not just long range attacks in the region.

South of Tokmak is 40+km from the “front lines”…. Wow!!!!

Certainly a highly organised rapid attack IF that is the case.

Russian frontline artillery wouldn’t be able to to turn around and fire at that attack either. They would have to retreat back first and then fire backwards.

At 7.02 on Tuesday morning, the UN had posted a tweet on its official Twitter account announcing that June 6 was Russian Language Day and invited readers to follow the organization's Russian-language page. The organization retweeted a message about the Kakhovska HPP disaster a few hours later.
