Another $160 million of Russian military hardware decommissioned by Ukraine:

And that's probably after a coffee or two in the morning before getting warned up.

The Russian airforce haven't been this embarrassed since Clint Eastwood waltzed onto an airbase and stole Firefox.

Europe doing Europe things. Support, but the minimum to keep Ukraine in the fight. The issue is Belgium. Other countries have much smaller amounts of frozen assets. Have one of those countries with a few hundred million or a billion or two give a loan using those. Let Russia test that in courts. If that country loses, it's not going to be 10's or hundreds of billions in compensation. And if (as they should) Russia loses, then Belgium can take off their nappies and put on big boy pants and use all their frozen assets.
Then you have Trump who wanted to get a $100 billion cut of the frozen assets for himself.

It's the type of oil that's the issue. Venezuela is a heavy crude that requires lots of refining.

Middle Eastern / Asian oil is a much higher quality sweet crude.

Far more economical to recover.

Going to be a long time before Venezuela becomes like Saudi Arabia. Oil industry is corrupt, it all goes to Maduro or is used locally. That's why they pay bugger all for petrol.

And by the time that better quality sources of oil are depleted it is likely that crude oil will no longer be the main energy source for transport.

For Trump there's shitloads of oil available in Alaska that's untouched and decades worth in Canada.
tbh trump is probably thinking why not have both (venezualan and canadian oil)
He did want canada to be the 51st state after all
(but yes, getting a bit off topic)

You know where refined oil comes from, right?

Umm ...

The Stoptime band who were arrested for a street concert in St Petersburg are now safely out of the country, AND consuming the fame the RF conferred upon them.

Recently performed alongside Noize MC (who is shit but still should not be vilified) and Monetochka (who is pretty good and also should not be vilified) in Vilnius.

I wonder if Stoptime ever thought they'd end up on the same stage as these much more famous Russian artists! Thanks for the virality, Putin :D

[ASTRA TG including concert footage exerpts]

Weird, singing in Russian yet not pro-fascist expansionism. What's with that, Putin you ****stick?

EDIT: Fixed massive typo where I accidentally suggested Monetochka should be vilified. Prosnis kroshka!

Putin also issued a warning that appeared to outline a potential trigger for a war with Europe, threatening "large-scale armed conflict" if Kaliningrad were to be blockaded.

"Actions of this kind will simply lead to an unprecedented escalation of the conflict, taking it to a completely different level," the Russian president said.

x 2

"I cannot think of a leader in history who has shouldered the pain and suffering of a nation with such dignity, and unrelenting ambition to see his country emerge from darkness into the light of a better tomorrow.

He has been attacked not only by an indicted war criminal, but by the president of the most powerful country on earth, who is taking 30 pieces of silver from the Kremlin to betray an ally who’s soldiers died on the battlefield of Iraq alongside his own troops.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a president who will stand in the pantheon of great leaders. A man for who the lines etched onto his face reflect the pain he holds in his heart for every one of the tens of thousands of innocent Ukrainians who have lost their lives in his country. Murders now aided abetted by the complicity of the White House."

Russia is not interested in peace

Pedo Putin is only interested in occupation / subjugation of Ukraine, expansion of his new Russian Empire. Destroying Ukranian statehood, sovereignty, language. Putin wants to annihilate anything Ukranian.

Anybody who resists this is subject to genocide by Putin.

We are at the same point in time now with Putin as when Hitler made his reichstag speech.

I really hope that Europeans end this war before it becomes like WW2.

Could be Ukraine's work

Russia is going to have to offload a shittonne of gas at knock down prices.

It is known that this branch provides energy to a number of sensitive facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex. In particular, these include the Demikhovo Machinebuilding Plant, the Russian Aircraft Corporation ‘MiG,’ and the Magnum-K ammunition plant.

The Central Asia – Center pipeline is a key element of the system through which Russia imported up to 12 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Since 2022, despite loud claims of “energy independence,” Moscow has used this pipeline for reverse flows and even purchased gas from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to cover local shortages. Currently, gas transportation through this route is suspended indefinitely.

Early claims of the forcible relocation of an entire town. Waiting on more analysis.

Per ASTRA TG:

The Ukrainian Ombudsman confirmed that the Russian Armed Forces forcibly took 50 civilians from the Sumy region to Russia

The Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew from positions in the area of the border village of Grabovskoe.

Military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces forcibly took about 50 Ukrainian citizens from the Sumy region to their territory, said the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

According to him, such actions are a gross violation of international humanitarian law — "this is a violation of the laws and customs of war, unlawful deprivation of liberty and forced deportation of the civilian population".

“According to preliminary information, on December 18, military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces illegally detained about 50 civilians — residents of the village of Grabovskoe in the Sumy region, held them without access to means of communication and proper conditions, and on December 20, forcibly took them to the territory of Russia,” the ombudsman's statement says.

Lubinets added that he had appealed to the Human Rights Ombudsman in Russia with a request to provide information on the deported Ukrainians and sent a letter to the "Red Cross".

In the Main Directorate of Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Ukrainian Truth" also confirmed the forced removal of residents from Grabovskoe to Russia, mainly of older age. They clarified that "the Defense Forces [of Ukraine] withdrew from several positions in the area of Grabovskoe", "stabilization actions are currently ongoing there".

Earlier, the media reported about the removal of 50 Ukrainians to Russia from the border village of Grabovskoe in the Sumy region, citing village authorities.

If you think that’s bad, they got the woman in the picture to record a video.

In perhaps the most shocking Women’s Day event, mothers of fallen soldiers were gifted meat grinders from local United Russia officials in the Murmansk region.

The news sparked a wave of criticism, as the kitchen appliance has become a grim symbol of the Russian military’s high-casualty assaults in Ukraine.

After the story went viral in Russian and Ukrainian media, one mother of a deceased soldier recorded a video statement in which she said she had been planning to buy a meat grinder herself, but United Russia “gifted it to her just in time.”

“I actually asked you for it,” the elderly woman said.
