I'm hoping like hell that these war crime stories are staged in order to paint Russia in a worse light because this is not good for my mental health.. crazy that stuff like this is still being reported in 2022. Seems like we'll never learn and stuff like this will still happen in 3022.

Human beings haven’t evolved as a species much at all. As much as modern science, medicine, infrastructure, communications and transport technology have evolved to create such a high standard of living for the average human at our core we are still capable of such murderous acts. I believe that would be true of people in all nations, including this one.

Some pretty horrific evidence of war crimes by retreating Russian troops north of Kyiv.

Civilians murdered with their hands tied behind their backs.

WARNING - Graphic footage:

I won’t post direct images in the thread but do a Twitter search for “Russian war crimes” or “Bucha” (the town where it happened) to see more graphic evidence

Don't let Putin lovers see this. They'll claim those are crisis actors.

Yeah I agree with this. Clearly the guy is referring to the Russian people as an entity of its own, and not each individually with a check mark beside every one of them. But it does certainly remind me of the guy (that you also saw) saying how he didn't vote the last time Putin was up for election!
Yeah, that man , lack of awareness incredible but probably not uncommon, sadly.

It best we know how bad it is, so we under no illusions what they capable of.

You're predicting the future( maybe).
Putin and his generals have complete confidence in the plan.

Ha ha, someone better pass that onto the soldiers because the memo has been lost in transit....

Which plan is it? Is that plan A, B, C or D which have failed so far? Or is it the current plan E?

Or is it future plans F, G or H once plan E invariably fails?

This is a professional Russian army at work. Kicking out soldiers and leaving them behind so they could bring some Whirlpool products back with them.

Unfortunately they couldn't liberate these machines from the nazis...

Some stuff that did get back to Belarus.

Some footage from the tactical retreat Russian shills will have you believe was the genius plan of Putin and his generals.....

What makes them Putin lovers here? They're being skeptical and so they should. Don't take things at face value from either side.

They’ve constantly pushed the Russian line, that Mariupol was a false flag etc.

It starts as skepticism today, then just repeating Russian denials tomorrow, followed by a healthy dose of “whataboutism” when it all gets too much....

When someone in similar role of power for two decades we have the Putin we have now.

When look at this video from 2000 he almost seems relatively normal and almost ordinary humble.
Makes me wonder if he had only been in power five or six years, how Russia could be far more sane now.

It does seem Ukraine has the upper hand.
Unless Russia massively increases its personnel deployment they will get their asses handed to them.
We haven't really seen their ability to advance yet tho.

It could be that both forces focus on the south and east and the lines hold till there's a peace deal.

Or the Russians really get nasty and deploy chemical weapons.

The Russians are clearly incapable of advancing and holding much of Ukrane; but that doesnt mean they'll simply fracture on every front.

Some various articles/comments from around Russian (non-state) news (apologies if I've doubled up on anything, I did do a check) :

In Novosibirsk a price check noted rises for vegetables of around 30%.

Also Novosibirsk: Protests didn't last long with the forces swooping rapidly to arrest everyone:
gallery_2.jpg

A list of detained protestors from Saturday in Spb and their sentences, ranging from 10k RUB fines to 7 days in jail (usually fines = first offence, jail = subsequent). Can you even imagine a world were walking a street with a no war placard or sining a ****ing song of peace (no violence, no trespass, no vandalism, no obstruction) can get you a fine or more?

A pair of Russian refutations of atrocities and the realities which refute the refutations:
Russia claims a corpse moves its hand. Here it is shown that it's not so. link
Russia claims a corpse sits up. Here is is shown that it's not so. link

Text reports of war crimes including rape and executions (I warn that these are extremely hard to read) documented by Human Rights Watch and published by DOXA (Russian student magazine).

More than 3 hours of the spoils of war heading home - Post Office CCTV in Belarus records Russian soldiers mailing loot stolen from Ukraine back over the border.

In Tbilisi Georgia, a protest march was converted into a solemn observance in honour of those civilians executed in Bucha.

Number of executed or otherwise deceased and abandoned civilians in Kyiv region reported as 480. Statement by Prosecutor of Ukraine, reported by DOXA.

Finally, a video of what's left of Mriya.

Some massive claims coming out of Russia. Nearly 2000 tanks? Pretty sure that would equate to "basically all" of Ukraine's tanks. Weird that there's almost no footage of these takeouts. You'd think it would make good news for their supporters, and a handy morale boost for their troops.

The main thing from the new briefing of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces destroyed large fuel storage facilities in Konstantinovka, Slavuta and Ternopil with high-precision air-launched missiles;

▪️ The RF Armed Forces, with a strike on a military airfield in the Kiev region, removed the Center for Warning and Control of Aviation and Air Defense of the Ukrainian Air Force from the building;

▪️ As a result of the strike of the Russian Armed Forces on the Balovnoye airfield near Nikolaev, the destruction of an aircraft parking lot and a fuel storage facility;

▪️ Since the beginning of the special operation, the RF Armed Forces have destroyed 386 UAVs and 1,918 tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

▪️ Russian air defense systems shot down three unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the coast;

▪️ During the day, operational-tactical and army aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces hit 42 military facilities of Ukraine;

▪️ The troops of the DPR are fighting for the capture of the settlements of Novobakhmutovka and Troitskoye.

From this TG post.

Couple of different concepts covered here …

(1) Private wealth. The oligarchs are private people with personal wealth (obviously through their business interests). They’re private individuals and not sure that there’s any mechanism to take extra-judicial confiscation of property. If they’ve broken the laws of the country that has confiscated their superyacht, then there would be recourse to repossess it. But otherwise? No.

(2) Sovereign wealth. (Eg: Central bank assets held by, or recognised by other countries) Would have thought playing around with that stuff would need a bit of care to avoid it leading to a declaration of war. The only country at war with Russia at the moment is Ukraine. Probably not a good idea to escalate that.
Russia can barely fight a one front war don’t think other countries need to necessarily be fearful (on confiscation of sovereign wealth)

This is an interesting map and goes to show that countries imposing sanctions against Russia for their invasion of Ukraine are a relatively small % of the world's nations.

Goes to show that our reliance on western media can give a skewed perspective of international sentiment on global matters.

That map covers almost all of the worlds technology and high end manufacturing, to speak nothing of finance and markets.

The only country not yellow that can help Russia with basically anything of any importance to them is China.

meh. Its currently an invading piece of shit. So I would have no problem ******* over their government and the apparatus of their government which includes their uber rich. Anyone of net worth > $1 billion USD pre war is fair game. Class warfare writ large baby!
It really tells us a lot about how the world really works. Putin sends in an invasion force of poor young men to destroy, rape and pillage a country. Murders thousands and worse.

But the leaders of the free world say confiscating Russia's money would be a step too far?

Why? Because the rich and the leaders of the free world are one-and-the-same and they fear it will happen to them one day.

F-that. Take their money, take their property, take their freedom. Lock up the borders around Russia until Ukraine is restored to its previous state.

I bet Russia would try to spin the likes of Rwanda, Yemen, South Sudan, Bolivia, Laos, Bangladesh not imposing sanctions as a "win".

The reality is 95% of the countries that Russia relies on for technology & industry are imposing sanctions against them.

Take a look at flightradar over Russia. Normally the second busiest airspace in the world. Now minimal flights and very few asia-europe overflights.

I invite you to find a country not in yellow that can support their aviation industry which has resorted to putin stealing aircraft owned by lessors to be stripped for parts to keep some aircraft flying.

Think of how embarrassing it is that a government is officially organising the theft of aircraft owned by companies mostly based in Ireland.

The aircraft theft will give them short reprieve. In the end they'll have to pay for that, or they'll be further in the S&^t as far as access to technology in the future goes.

That, plus the brain drain, the RF will be like a 1960's retro economy for decades to come.

The Ukraine civilian butchery alone will take decades before trust & trade return.

Another reason that Oligarch ill gotten gains & FR ForEx should be confiscated to pay for the reparations.
