In a local parliament sitting in Novosibirsk someone queried the legitimacy of public transport portraying the "Z" (forcibly deciding a political stance for travelers) and this bloke went off his nut with the tired old Ukraine are sithlords line, including even asking for the woman's phone to be confiscated to check for more naughty questioning of supreme authority which of course is always beyond all suspicion. From this TG video shared by Sibirmedia.

An independent deputy of the City Council of Novosibirsk, Helga Pirogova, now at the session raised the issue of symbols with the letter Z on public transport in Novosibirsk.

United Russia deputy Yevgeny Yakovenko was sincerely indignant: stammering with excitement and indignation, he said that the Russian army in Ukraine is saving the whole world from Nazism, our grandfathers laid down their lives to break the back of the fascist hydra, families suffered in the Great Patriotic War, and about three hundred laboratories .

He urged to urgently take away the phone from Pirogova, which may contain calls for “damn it, eliminate decision makers,” and deputy Yevgeny Lebedev from the Liberal Democratic Party urged “not to rock the boat,” since the majority of deputies agreed to unconditionally support the “special operation” -
because it's divisive

Those Azov guys certainly get around for such a small unit...
One dropped out of my wheet bix packet this morning!

Oh and here's one example of the Russian air travel industry starting to stammer a little.
Can't get direct to Moscow from Omsk, Irkutsk or Barnaul anymore. Staff getting temp laid off, “difficult geopolitical situation”, etc etc

Article from tayga . info (generally siberia region news)

Ural Airlines canceled flights from Omsk and Barnaul to Moscow

Ural Airlines canceled direct flights from Irkutsk, Omsk and Barnaul to Moscow. Earlier, the airline announced that it would send part of its employees on idle. On the Ural Airlines website it is impossible to buy tickets for direct flights from Omsk and Barnaul to Moscow for April-May. The nearest possible flight date is May 28.

Passengers from Omsk also spoke about the cancellation of already paid flights.

In addition, the company's direct flights from Irkutsk have also been cancelled. You can fly from there with a transfer in Yekaterinburg. At the same time, at the Irkutsk airport, the IrCity website was told that “so far, flights have been canceled only for April.”

It became known earlier that Ural Airlines would send some of its employees, including pilots and flight attendants, to a simple flight. The decision was made "for reasons beyond the control of the employer."

As such reasons, the “difficult geopolitical situation”, the closure of the airspace of European countries, the temporary regime for the use of airspace in southern Russia and restrictions on the use of aircraft are named, the newspaper notes.

According to part 2 of Art. 157 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, idle time, which arose for reasons beyond the control of either the employee or the employer, is paid in the amount of at least 2/3 of the salary.

Wtf they were still saying "we didn't do it" only a few hours ago ... now they're saying "yeah we did do it but here's why ..."?
Unless they are saying Ukrainian radicals are faking up the dead to blame it on Russia (which is extremely far fetched)

I've read the whole air travel industry will mostly grind to a halt within 4-6 weeks even with Putin officially stealing aircraft from leasing companies.

All that will be left will be a few western aircraft plus whatever Russian made aircraft are left in the fleets (not many).

This is a country that is absolutely reliant on air travel. It will be disastrous for food supplies / shortages etc. Currently a train trip from European Russia to the far east takes the best part of a week. Good luck keeping up food supplies using just that.

Just in case anyone doubts this 7 day estimate to travel the length of Russia, it's not a joke. This playlist (nerd admission, sorry) is 60 videos long.
Moscow to Vladivostok real time for rail trip nerds
Oh it's also got various comfort levels, like ... a choice between can't afford it or would rather not withstand it.

And very many Russian residents of the big towns St Petersburg and Moscow are youth transplanted from towns further east. At it's extreme end, the depletion of the air industry will equate to families torn into halves that cannot visit each other.

This is an interesting map and goes to show that countries imposing sanctions against Russia for their invasion of Ukraine are a relatively small % of the world's nations.

Goes to show that our reliance on western media can give a skewed perspective of international sentiment on global matters.

I know other people have debunked the map.

I just want to add one more thing. 141 countries voted in favour of condemning the Russian invasion at the UN.
