supcom-FA will always be my favourite but WC3 taught me how to play multiplayer RTS games. almost certain to pick this up.

This will be successful on nostalgia alone. I know I’ll be day one. I probably won’t touch the added game modes like the MOBA and stuff but they’re still nice additions.

what do you reckon a WC4 story would be do they go off in a different route or kind of follow the expansions but in a story kind of way

God damn yes. World of Warcraft is a totally different game genre (one that I never got into, but each to their own). It's always annoyed me that Blizzard never released a Warcraft 4 as those who play / played WoW would still have, plus they'd have captured all the market (/money) from those who wanted the next RTS.

I was a Warcraft fan, owned and played the first three games to death.... I've never played WOW as the MMORPG style never interested me.

But I'd jump back on the franchise if they made a WCIV.

Played Warcraft 1 and 2 to absolute death (remember playing W2 multiplayer over the 56k modem) but 3 was released at the time I stopped PC gaming

3 had the best online scene and user mod scene ever I reckon. It was literally the birth of DOTA and where that genre spawned from, not to mention a huge setting of TD games among others.

Went to plenty of friend LANs a decade ago and always used to smash out a bit of uber party, warlocks, and legion TD (this ones on steam now as it's own thing). We never touched the main game for a long while.

Glad this was bumped to remind me.

Okay reading online its been absolutely slammed by players everywhere. Buggy, little changes, average improvement to visuals, Blizzard now own full rights to any custom mods so you can forget about the next independant DOTA or something coming from the game.
