How many chances does this fool get
This is his 3rd ashes series he has been chosen to tour for
In his first tour he was suspended by the team for the first 2 tests for a altercation with Joe Root in a bar

Warner's first innings scores in the Ashes series he has played

2013...........5,6,3 ..........................tour average =4.6

2015..........17,38,2,0,85 (in the last test when the series is decided)...................tour ave = 28.4

2019.......2,3,61,0,5 .................tour ave = 14.02

average in UK............13 first innings 227 runs @ 17.46

He is no good against a swinging ball, a flat track bully in Australian conditions only

Why do second innings runs not count.

Sure he’s not perfect, but to suggest he shouldn’t be in the test team is crazy talk. Harris certainly wouldn’t do better and we’d remove a potential match winner

Yeah he's poor in England in Test Matches, but reality is we don't have any better options, it's just frustrating he's so much worse in England than his career average.

He’s the sort of guy who could smash a quick 100 in the 2nd dig and take the game away from England and set the match up for us.

Unfortunately in England the past 2 series we have been out of the game after completion of the first innings by both teams

The first innings sets up the game..............

Has underperformed in England, but is still probably the best opening option we've got.

If history is anything to go by, we should be confident in him scoring runs in the second dig. Average a dismal 17 in the first innings in England, but has 5 half centuries from 7 innings in the second innings.

Fake a concussion sub after the first innings?

100% agree that he's a flat track bully and im his biggest hater

But honestly, WHo else do we have at this point? Unless Bancroft makes runs and Warner averages under 15 he wont be dropped.
Well for a starters we could have at least selected Joe Burns in the squad. Bancroft looked so out of his depth it wasn’t funny

Openers in general have struggled in England for a while so it's hardly the biggest concern. Needs to score runs at some point but when the alternatives are guys like Harris and Burns there's not going to be a reason to replace him until an actual young talent comes through who looks the part.

In the meantime we just need to find a long term suitable opening partner for him so when he retires we're not stuck in England's situation.

He’s just not good against seam/swing bowling over there. Better off having him down the order.
I can see where you're coming from, but he needs the ball coming on. He needs to face the hard ball, IMO, or not play. Historically, except one or two innings in the UAE he is worse on slow decks than he is againat the moving ball. And not playing him isn't really an option at this point - even if I do think Harris is the most likely of the opening options to get through the new ball period.
