Geez, Sauce has developed into a good ruckman. Not an athlete but a very solid footballer.

He was doing that for us last year, which is why I liked him. .. He is a pure tap ruckman. .. Taps to advantage and is a great contested mark. .. Not in the mould of the modern footballer but has footy smarts and has a heart like pharlap. .. Great that he is doing well for the Cows. ..

People here too harsh on Warnock.

Good ruckman when compared to most of the league. Would have as number 1 ruck over the following teams ruck selections: Port, Adelaide, Doggies, Hawks, Tigers, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Saint Kilda.

Puts him in front of half the league which is not bad in his first full season back, holding down number 1 ruck spot with a spud like Hampson.

Will only get better.

It is also arguable him vs Sydney/cats as well.

I agree that Warnock is a decent ruckman but that is not to say he doesn't need to work on parts of his game. .. As for the listed teams. ..

Port - Brogan is a more experienced and arguably a better overall ruckman
Melbourne - Jamar is last years AA 2nd ruck, so could be argued ahead of Nocka
Adelaide - Agreed, Jacobs is a fine ruck though
Gold Coast - Agreed, but has a decent up and coming ruck in Zac Smith (Nocka is obviously ahead of him at the moment though)
Bulldogs, Hawks, Tigers, Saints - Agreed and add North, Brisbane

As for Sydney and Geelong - Mumford and Ottens have more runs on the board. ..

I would argue that he would be No.1 at the Dons (ahead of Bellchambers with Hille as 2nd ruck). .. Not to say the Bellchambers/Hille/Ryder combo isn't strong. ..

Leaving Freo, Collingwood, West Coast as having better rucks. .. Warnock would be welcome at pretty much any club though. .. Imagine a Jolly/Cox/Sandilands + Warnock combination. ..

I really don't think we are harsh enough.

He is a solid tap ruckman, but outside of that he doesn't find a lot of ball, doesn't provide a marking option, let alone a contested marking option, not much of an attacking threat, and average tackle stats.

I've been disappointed after some good pre-season cameos when he appeared to be showing some hunger for the contest.

Him v Mumford is arguable? Please...

You'll see a different Knockers once Special K is taking his share of the work. It's not easy being #1 ruck these days. i.e. Jolly's broken down after a few months under the new rules, and I don't think he'll be the last this year.

Just pray Robbie stays on the park. You'll soon know how much work he does once he's not there to do it.

Harsh on Warnock's and Hampson's ruckwork...Good hearsay suggests the latter has played with a plate and three screws in his finger...Shaun wore a glove against Collingwood, but it was absent in the following game...Out of form and down on confidence doesn't mean Hammer's crap...He's rucked well against bigger and more athletic opponents than Daw...Hampson's forward play is where he's falling down.

Yep, there's a reason just about all teams were playing two rucks before the sub rule came in. It'd be taking so much out of him doing just about all of it on his own at the moment.

Only thing Warnock needs to work on is his tank. Against St Kilda he came onto the bench and he was absolutely nackered, even if he wasn't hurt against Geelong I think he is due for a rest. Interesting to see if Carlton roll the dice and give Kruezer a run against an undermanned Melbourne, but will most likely go with Hampson.

Jolly wouldn't be out for so long if he hadn't kept quiet and tried playing on an injured knee.;)
