Whoever gets Warnock will get a good player. No matter what people think, Carlton need another person in the ruck, Cloke is not a ruckman...Hampson is not ready... and lets NOT kill Kruezer in the early years.

yea i totally agree
he looked clumsy throughout the game with a few of his decisions
i wouldnt be giving pick 6. maybe pick 24 but even that is still stretching it a bit

I think so.

I like Hampson and i hear he has a great attitude and all that but i think if i had the choice of either i'd pick Warnock.

Didnt lose a tap - did some exceptional hits to advantage.

Looks quite happy to help his defenders by pushing back hard but went forward too.

We're getting him for our number one ruck because Hampson isn't ready, Cloke is too small(competes more than Ackland and Bryan though) and Kreuzer is a baby physically.

If Warnock isn't an AFL quality ruck prospect at just 21, who is?

Look at Allan who was stuck by Madden in a similar situation to Warnock this year.

For mine, Warnock looked co-ordinated when he roved the ball off the ground.

Warnock is a good kick, a good mark and mobile for a big man.

Some of his tap work was good and this was against an experienced ruck in King. I think you could look at putting Kreuzer up forward more and then have Hampson and Cloke fighting it out for 2nd ruck.

Not a huge amount of highlights there, but what he does bring is that height in the ruck, which hopefully means we won't get as smashed as often around the stopages like we did this year.

Has anyone discussed this?: Play Warnock as a No. 1 Ruckman, Cloke/Hampson as No. 2 (dont play both at the same time) cus i really like those two, especially Cloke and develop Kruezer a dominate CHF? he's shown he has great marking skills and kicking skills and he will be a BIG BOY he's already a big unit and he's still only a baby. dunno what everyone else thinks about this but id like to hear your thoughts.

do you realise it was a highlights package and thats why he didnt lose any rucktaps? (even though i counted at least one that he lost and a few that were ineffective)

yeah for a person in his 3rd yr of footy im shocked his got no arms, tall twig with cloths on.. i hiope im proven wrong cause at 206cm and still growing i just hope he can do something with his body with this great club.... but i think of hamish macintoch from the roos when he came he couldnt bench 40kgs now 5 years on he benches 140 kgs... musle to succeed with the blues have him as the musle ruckmen and agile boy as the hammer and leave the kruzzz at CHF and cloke at hhf

Agree on the lack of highlights in that clip, however the fact he's tall didnt' really seem to win me over either. He is tall, yes, but he was hardly jumping into his opponents and palming the ball down beautifully.

Personally, I don't think that footage did him (Warnock) any favors what-so-ever. In fact, our big three look better than that already)

But, what it did highlight was just how good Kruezer is with his footy smarts, his follow up work and his ground play for a big dude. For my money, Humphrey is already a step or two ahead of this guy.

If it was my dough we were spending, I'd simply go for a stop gap ruckman (White, maybe) to take up the slack for a season or two, while our couple of young guys physically & mentally develop.

Spend the big dollars somewhere else, I reckon.

Had a few on a recent trip to Ulan Batar, Mongolia. Gotta get em fresh, they go a bit chewy if allowed to congeal.
