Based on yesterday's performance by JLo, it could be a long month waiting for Warnock.

Real shame to see JLo looking so slow and ineffectual in the first round, when he should be in as good a shape as he's ever going to be?

The way Staker went in the ruck vs Sydney, maybe we can just play Hasleby as the ruck.... would probably be more effective than Longmuire.

I would like to add in Justin's defence that I reckon that Stringer was earmarked to play the first half dozen rounds , enabling Justin to get too some level of fitness & form later in the season .

Stringer breaking his toe has probably forced the selection panel to throw him in under done which hasn't worked very well to date.

I'm with you Lach72, JLo was a passenger yesterday. Ineffectual in the ruck when Sandi came off, and not much use in the forward line either. I seem to remember him playing his best when he could float forward and especially back to take marks. He didn't look 100%, down on his haunches when the ball was rebounded out of Port's 50. Not sure if it's quite time to think about Warren, Warnock, whatever, but worrying times nonetheless.:(

We have essendon this week

from memory they have a ruck division of Hille and Ryder

could we play Sandilands and Gilmore? This could possibly work.

Longmuir is a waste of space at the moment.

I'm no Gilmore fan, but I'd be happy to give that a go for a week or two because we need to add leg speed. Won't happen though unless JLo is unable to play.

I think you'll find that we probably still have a better ratio of clearances when JLo is rucking as opposed to when Sandi is.

It does pain me to see him struggling so much around the ground and up forward though. Here's hoping he snags a few goals tomorrow to get his confidence up.

Having said that, I saw Warnock's game in the WAFL today and was reasonably impressed. His agility and ground skills are amazing for a guy his size. In fact, when I had a peek at Dockers training last week, I almost mistook him as Johnno because he moves so well.

Got a feeling he will get his chances sooner rather than later.
