No trolling here. The word over here is that Warnock is keen on going to Carlton. What would you give up for him? Would be handy - free Kruezer to CHF

If we have to give up pick 24 for him i would say no. Would rather White for 1-2 years and we could just pick him up in the PSD. Then in 2 years when Kruz and Hammo are match hardened the fun will begin!

IMO we don't need another ruckman at our club.

I think Hammer and Kreuzer will be fine, and by all accounts next year young sammy Jacobs might be promted and we still have Cloke as back up, so if anything get White cheap without giving up our future youth.

You could have Saddington or Ackland, nothing more, nothing less.
 
How I'd love it if someone who knew - really knew - whether a player will make it or not, would watch Sammy for 3 games turn to Ratts and just say "yes" or "no". Not feasible I know but crikey if ever a player has had mixed reviews it's this big fella. Oh well.

Has anyone else thought of the possibility that Hammer might want to go home when GC17 starts and be traded for a couple of those first round picks?

Might not be such a bad idea to load up on rucks and bring them through.....they tend to have fairly good trade value (see Brisbane Lions) and might just see us top up with some high picks as we ascend the ladder.:thumbsu:

i have noted your post BB but i have to refute it

Hammer is very happy in Melbourne, even so his family has moved down with him!!

this was noted when he signed his contract for the 3 years!!

so i doubt he would go back unless given no opportunity!!

All good points there Pamam.
Hampson does appear to be pretty happy in Melbourne.
 
As much as I love the kid, I will give you a straight swap for Blackwell. Not sure he'll get his chances at Carlton, so I want to give his AFL career a chance at another club. We need to give something to get something and we have midfielders.
 
Direct swap for Hampson , no point having Warnock, Kruz and Hampson on the one list ... in fact it would be just stupid
 
logic would suggest that trading warnock for a WA boy/boys would be the way to go.

we have a few WA boys on our list

armfield
blackwell
benjamin
bower
browne
ellard (rookie)

the problem is that not too many players would want to go to freo unless foced to go, it seems a pretty unstable place there ATM.

plenty of clubs are after warnock and we won't get him in the PSD,
so we are going to have to pay over the odds to get him or we keep what we have.

Exactly.

Warnock is so overrated on here it's starting to get ridiculous. I'd give our third rounder for him, maybe throw in Blackwell or Benjiman, nothing more. Obviously that wouldn't get it done so I don't want him, simple as that. We have much more glaring issue than to take a ruckman who's been in the system for 4 years and still looks like a rake.

I so hope he stays with the Dockers so we don't get ripped off by having to have to give up our second rounder and maybe a player.
