Having watched Benny for a full year at Werribee last year and then in our most recent practice match against Box Hill, all I can see is that the kid has improved 110%

Last year he used to do everything right but then drop marks, but now he is holding onto his marks and knows where to find the footy.

I hope Laidley gives him more than one week in the AFL line-up, he has proven that with kids he gives one game and then drops them again unfortunately.

Good point. Especially the week after we got thrashed by a team coached by a guy who committed, at some significant risk to his own career, to a yoof policy a few years ago and got a premiership out of it.

Goldstein, Lower and Smith already up and down between firsts and seconds like a yo yo this year. Its got to only limit their confidence and make them afraid to make mistakes.

We have no mid size marking forward in the team other than Warren so give him a go. Could nnot see him playing a worse game than CJ last week in the same position. Go milky!!

A very valid point.

Though in reality, if I got picked this week, I wouldn't go any worse than CJ did last week. And I was crap in E grade ammo's and retired over 15 years ago.

Actually that is another BF myth but don't let the facts get in the way Ben.

DR, it was fact for the first third of last year, or so.

And you came on here defending Laidley for doing it, even though most poeople think it's a shit thing to do.

I assume you're familiar with the Charge of the Light Brigade. Your posting keeps reminding me of it. Just keep supporting Lord Cardigan, no matter what.

Its a fact. A myth would be that you applied for your job because of your first name.;)

It's a myth

Swallow, Goldstein, Urquhart, Hansen, Trotter, Thomas, Ziebell, Riggio and Adams are all players who were given a few games consecutively after making their debuts.

3 players being Ben Ross, Thompson and Smith hardly makes it a fact and that every player who debuts under Laidley is out of the side the next week.

This isn't about Laidley. This is about bigfooty perpetuating BS myths that have no fact to them what so ever. Maybe this board would have more respect around the club if the posters on here dealt in reality and facts and not make believe.

This isn't about Laidley.

I also should have added Ed Lower, Whyman, Scott McMahon and Josh Gibson also played consecutive games after making there debuts.

Myth well and truly busted. Thank you linesman, thank you ballboys.

how many games did they play for the rest of the year?

Riggio didn't but Hansen was given another shot in the Semi Final.

Given that we actually went pretty well that year they would had to have been in exceptional form in the 2s to get a look in I would imagine.
