“Out of character”

How many afl players would you say that’s in character? I would be perplexed if anyone from the pies did that. I’d say that about nearly every player in the league except maybe a handful.
People are comparing it to barry halls hit.

Cant say out of character for baz.

To put it in perspective theres 21 guys at the eagles is have thought would have done that

Before gaff.

As in if i was told an eagle yesterday had king hit someone hed have been the last name id got to.

And I dont know why people need to be on twitter to know what happened. So many people listen to the radio or check the AFL app.

Assuming you get reception, the AFL app isn't that good. Footage of the Gaff incident wasn't uploaded immediately in any event.

Also notice less and less people with the radio anyway, and if they are listening to the commentary they aren't exactly putting it on speakers for everyone else.

I have no idea if it is the same guy you have a hardon for or not.

Quite interesting that a WC supporter insists on playing the man not the ball. A pattern perhaps?

A useful contribution in this context would perhaps be an informed opinion arguing that this is not an assault. Any chance you could find one?

Why would I be denying it's an assault? Very happy for it to be dealt with by the police if that's the way it goes.

Just calling out hypocrisy from TP who is doing his level best to whip up the hysterics and is happy to venture into the media on this in a manner that is all at odds with letting natural justice run its course.

This is the man who said serial murderer Catherine Birnie should not be kept in prison to satisfy society's thirst for revenge and argued the decision should be based on facts, not political pandering.

Can't have it both ways, but this QC whom makes his living defending criminals, apparently thinks you can.

There still hasn't been an Eagles fan who has addressed why Gaff sprints off after "accidentally" clobbering a bloke in the head. He didn't give two ****s about it and went on with his business.

All the water works on the bench would be more due to the realization that he is missing the entire finals series.

I just think its amazing that those who saw it happen didnt pass the word around, packed stadium and all that. Unbelievable really.
Yep. Dockers player on the ground.
Freo players remonstrate with Gaff and Eagles supporters cheer him.

No one in the stadium wonders why the Freo players are so upset with him.

Not one person in the stadium checks their phone or listens to the radio to find out what happened.

Sounds feasible.

Barry Hall stood there with his arms out and said he did nothing wrong immediately after he sent Staker into next Tuesday.

People react in different ways.

There were 57,000 people in the stadium, none of whom saw anything on the big screen. How much of an impact do you think a few hundred people listening to the radio really have?

Hall was remorseless hence after he dropped Staker, he didn't give two ****s. Gaff was much the same.

And then he expressed remorse the next day, which Gaff has also done.

Maybe you could argue both did that because they know they are f***ed but whatever, emotions change.

So Johnson gets off with a fine, but the same impact could break a neck, when/if it does happen I blame AFL not the bloke who thinks it’s legal to do it because the afl judge on result not safety.
To be honest I don't mind jonson get a week like May . If everybody know about his hit on GAff , everybody should know about GAff on Brayshaw .

Apparently the vision of Jonno taking out Gaff went up on the screens though.
Have you seen the quality of that footage? It's clean and clear, totally in focus and multiple angles where that is the central subject in view

There is no vision of Gaff's hit where it is the central focus of the footage

You throw the replay of the Gaff hit on a big screen at the footy and people aren't gonna see the two people the top left hand corner in a punch on

Gaff will be severly punished there's no question. I just can't understand why an experianced 175 gamer, clean slate, game well in hand , could swing and snap like that.
