The Football Team fined Dwayne Haskins $40,000 for violating COVID-19 protocols.
It turned out to be a pricey trip to the club for Haskins, who loses about half a game check for violating COVID protocols. Haskins, who took first team snaps at Wednesday's practice, was also stripped of his captain title for his transgression. He could be under center once again this week against Carolina is Alex Smith (calf) is inactive. Smith would need to practice on Friday -- at the minimum -- to have a chance to play.

I don't disagree with anything you've said, and as you'll see in my tweets - I think what Haskins did is inexcusable.

That said, it's being magnified because of the 'strippers' element. Other players have essentially done the exact same thing (breach NFL/NFLPA Covid-19 Player Protocols) in less sexy ways and people barely bat an eye.

Just this week;

The strip club isn't as big a deal as for the second time ( selfies when the game was still going) in two years putting himself ahead of the team. He's a self centered w***er.

I can confidently say he won't ever get it. Will be out of the league in two years.

Washington Football Team waived QB Dwayne Haskins.
It's the culmination of a professionally catastrophic week for Haskins, who was fined $40,000 and stripped of his team captain title after violating COVID-19 protocols by attending a party maskless. The team was forced into starting him in Week 16 against the Panthers, who looked like the 1985 Bears defense with Haskins completing half of his passes for 154 yards, two interceptions, and a fumble. He was benched in favor of Taylor Heinicke, who had never played a regular season NFL snap but proved a major upgrade over Haskins. Heinicke will back up Alex Smith (calf) if Smith is able to play in the Football Team's critical Week 17 matchup against the Eagles. He ends his tumultuous two-year run in Washington with a 60.1 percent completion rate, 12 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. In a statement, head coach Ron Rivera thanked Haskins for his contributions. Haskins will be another team's project.

Washington Football Team owner Daniel Snyder was accused of corporate malfeasance in an affidavit filed Monday.
This is the latest in the Football Team ownership saga, with three of Snyder's limited partners trying to force Snyder to accept the sale of their combined 40 percent interest in the team. Snyder has accused the partners of planting stories of his alleged sexual misconduct in the national media. Now, John Moag, the partners' advisor, claims Snyder sent "intruders" to his home to harass and intimidate him. Moag is accusing Snyder of "serious corporate irregularities," including “long missing financials, breaches of the partnership agreement, and other significant issues, some now being litigated in Judge (Peter) Messitte’s court, and others in ongoing arbitration." Probably this legal battle will get messier before it's resolved.

Nice fact checking Rotoworld. Heinicke played plenty of snaps for us in 2018, started a game IIRC in week 15 or 16.

Edit: To make sure my memory isn't shot I checked and Heinicke appeared in SIX games for Carolina in 2018 and started week 16 vs Falcons.

We certainly didn't embarrass ourselves Sunday.

POSITIVES
Youthful Defense had a great season -will keep getting better each year.
Way and Hopkins were solid
Logan Thomas and Gibbo - found two there
Scary Terry
McKissic was a good pickup as an RB and good catcher too
Chase Young - BEAST

QUESTIONS
Who is our QB next year - I assume Alex
Allen Robinson is the FA WR we need
Sims needs to work on his hands - does the hard work running and doesn't position his hands or body well enough at this level
Ryan Kerrigan i think will leave to go to a contender and where he'll play more snaps
Scherff i hope we can keep long term - should be a Team Captain
A couple of LB additions would be ideal - maybe Devondre Campbell and Denzel Perryman?

NFC East will still suck but we have a way better upside - especially if Dak buggers out of Boytown

Washington Football Team hired 49ers vice president of player personnel Martin Mayhew as general manager.
The Football Team was reportedly "close" to hiring twice-fired Panthers GM Marty Hurney as its new personnel boss, but it is ex-Lions GM Mayhew who is coming away with the top job. Hurney will still be joining the Football Team's front office in some capacity. Mayhew is now over half a decade removed from leading a franchise, but he was far and away the best Lions general manager of the 21st century, building their only playoff cores following their 0-16 bottom out in 2008. He has also been a critical cog in the 49ers' recent turnaround. If you are going to hop on the retread train, Mayhew is about as good of a "second chance" candidate as you are going to get. Stability never lasts for long in Washington's Daniel Snyder-dominated front office, but Mayhew is the sort of hire Snyder has rarely made.

Washington hired Marty Hurney as executive VP of player personnel.
This was expected but we now know Hurney's official title. Hurney joins GM Martin Mayhew in a revamped Washington front office. Both will report to Ron Rivera, who remains in control of football operations. Hurney has a long history of working with Rivera, who he overlapped with in Carolina. Washington will try to build off their 2020 success with their new power structure.

Washington Football Team hired Jennifer King as assistant running backs coach.
King will be the NFL's first-ever full-time assistant coach. She spent 2020 as a full-time intern for the Football Team, working with running backs coach Randy Jordan in coaching Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic, and Peyton Barber. King, an intern for two years under Ron Rivera when he was in Carolina, played for three women's football teams from 2006-2019 and coached Johnson & Wales University Charlotte women's basketball to a USCAA Division II national championship. The Football Team -- once excoriated for its lack of diversity, possible violation of the Rooney Rule, offensive team name, and hostility to women in the organization -- now boasts the most progressive hiring practices of any NFL team. Rivera is the third Latino head coach in league history, Martin Mayhew is one of only five black general managers in the NFL, and Jason Wright -- who is black -- serves as team president.

Washington Football Team coach Ron Rivera has been declared cancer free five months after being diagnosed with lymph node cancer.
Rivera underwent his final treatments in October and has passed every test since. It's the best possible news for a veteran coach who immediately restored the Football Team to respectability. He can now fully devote himself to a critical offseason where an on-the-rise roster needs to answer the biggest question of quarterback.

The Washington Football Team had an aggressive offer for Matthew Stafford before he was traded to the Rams.
The Washington Post's Nicki Jhabvala said the Football Team's offer for Stafford "was better for the Lions this year than what the Rams offered." The Rams landed Stafford on Saturday in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick, a 2022 first-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick, and Jared Goff. Apparently Washington's offer for Stafford wasn't as loaded on the back end, but may have included a bigger draft pick haul for this year. It's noteworthy that the Football Team made an aggressive push for Stafford -- they're clearly not committed to heading into the 2021 season with Alex Smith as the team's unquestioned starter. It makes sense: there's a real argument that, by season's end, Taylor Heinicke was Washington's best QB option by a long shot. Ron Rivera's team could be a dark horse to sell out in pursuit of Deshaun Watson in the coming months. Washington could also land a free agent signal caller. Unrestricted free agent QBs this offseason include Ryan Fitzpatrick, Cam Newton, Tyrod Taylor, and Mitchell Trubisky.

Cam was absolute shite last year, just like I said he would be, wouldn't go near him, hes completely washed up. I'd rather someone like Mariota to pair with Heinicke who deserves a chance after his playoff performance

Washington coach Ron Rivera said bringing back Alex Smith as the starter "remains a possibility."
Washington offered its first- and third-round picks for Matthew Stafford before he was traded to the Rams. They've also been linked to Derek Carr, Deshaun Watson, and Sam Darnold, though none are a lock to be dealt. Washington should be among the most aggressive teams on the quarterback market this offseason, but they may have to settle for another year of Smith if a deal doesn't get done. Dak Prescott, Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston, and Ryan Fitzpatrick headline this year's free agent QB class.
