Pies game not being show in NT

Hi All,

Just realised that the Pies v Hawks game is not being shown in Katherine, NT.

Because of some quirk of out location Katherine gets the Southern Cross feed (SCTV). Because SCTV broadcast into most of rural QLD they have decided to show the Port v Bris game. This means that we get their feed.

Fox are still showing their feed of the same game.

This is a real piss on my carpet because its my last weekend in Katherine before moving back to Melbourne and 5 of my mates here (yeah! 5!!!!) are hawks supporters. This would have been a fitting goodbye to them all.

Really interested to know if there is anything i can do. I have emailed AFL (they dont have phone numbers), going to email/call 7 and Fox, but i doubt that I will get any help. Is there any alternative feeds or ANYTHING that i could get?

If you can help, i would be more than appreciative.......... please PM or reply if you can........

Think this happens a fair bit in Perth too.....

Download TVU player from www.[B]tvu[/B]networks.com and watch the game live man.

Search for Southern cross.

You can watch the game live then, connect your Laptop / Desktop into the tv if your tv can support it.

I watched 2003 GF in "The Legends Bar in Waiikiki

Also my nephew watched the entire 2010 season in the Camel Bar in Shanghai.

but the best place I have watched footy is at Cape Leveque 200kms north of Broome but only the Grand Final. Actually watched the last 3 September Grand finals there!

Hardest place to watch AFL is in Sydney!!!!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME!! I will be heading through Europe from August 4th to 23rd, so i'll have to sus out the euro locations for these, but i'll be in NYC for the round 23 Freo game. Would these bars be open then, i think the game would start about 6:40am. Which of these would you recommend KS??

I have ESPN3 so I watch the early morning matches (night matches in Australia) from home, but the best thing to do is to contact the pubs I've mentioned to see if they can help, or send an e-mail to the New York Magpies footy club.

The C*ck and Bull Pub was where the Grand Final's were shown in Los Angeles last year, so you should try them to see if they can help. The other option is to contact the Los Angeles Dragons or Orange County Bombers footy teams. The Boston Demons should be able to help there, and they organised last years Grand Final's parties at the Hyatt Regency.

If anybody is staying in a hotel in the US, then they can get access to ESPN 3 online for free if the hotel uses a participating ISP, so always check with the hotel. This is the list of ISP's.

I wish I lived in the US Instead of the Canuk's who do not get access to espn 3.....But I shall stay up and listen on the radio me thinks. The boys might need all the support we can give them to get the win. Feel as though I should do my part.

Live viewing in Bali - Friday night

Hey guys,

I'm currently staying in Legian, just next to Kuta. I'm here for Friday night and obviously want to watch the game live, I have seen a couple of places, particularly a sportsbar called Double D and some others as well.

I've seen places that are playing fox footy but don't say live AFL anywhere but have seen places that don't look appealing that do say live AFL.

Just wondering if anyone had any places they may have been to or have heard about? Any help would be great.

Not been to Bali but am currently in Indonesia, and worst case scenario your hotel should have the Australia Network and the game would be shown live on that, so you could always watch in the room (not ideal I know). I watched the Dogs game live in a bar in Thailand the other week and that was from the Australia Network. Doubt Fox Footy would be over here anywhere.

In Legian near Padma Resort Hotel (cnr where Posers bar is located on address is Jl. Padma No. 1, Legian, Bali, Indonesia) there is a restaurant slips my mind but it’s all white with cane chairs etc and inviting (very decent and food not bad) there are two massive screens one for AFL and one for NRL ( covers most aussie bogans )... anyway I digress... guarantee to be a top joint to watch the Pies smash the felines.
