Reckless, high contact, medium/high impact

With a bad record will get 3-4 IMO. Unlucky but those are the rules with this system. A player could bump another off the ground with their elbow stuck out and get the same....

He should get 2 because Watson was too soft to come back on. he should have this discounted 1 week because we had to endure LLoyd throughout the game.

Lloyd's commentary was an absolute ****ing disgrace for the first half. Made my day when the little man huddo started getting stuck into him about his biased comments.

Apparently Scooter might be in trouble for hitting Jake Carlisle off the ball too. If someone locates them, can you please post the video clips of this incident as well as Watson's hit on Waters' shoulder please. :thumbsu:

Not exactly sure what Waters was supposed to do. He completely committed to the contest. Didn't have time to pull out, or get out of the way and he kept the elbow down the entire time. The fact Watson copped in the head was just bad luck. IMHO, he should get off.

But Watson ended up concussed, and spitting out blood which is a really bad look. And we know the AFL are trying to soften up the game so it'll appeal to all the Soccer "Moms". So I reckon he'll end up with a couple of weeks at least. Expect to hear Adrian Anderson go on about how the head is sacrosanct.

Tackle.

He shouldnt get anything it was a clash of bodies not a full-on bump. Watson and Waters ran to the ball and Watson collided with Waters, thats it no arm raised, didnt go out of his way, was on the ground, wasnt malicious. Impact might get in his way though, knowing the MRP, its all about the result when sactioning ie. sling tackle.

Anywhere between 2-4 weeks. Just misjudged the bump but you can't make contact to the head. It's a shame but Ash Smith gets to keep his spot in the side so I'm not that disappointed.

I'll be f-ing pissed if he does go, it was a fair bump god christ's sake, it's only because Watson was a little lower then usual cause he was going for the ball is why he got hit!

he'll get done for sure.

both were in the wrong place at the wrong time, the clash was inevitable...i think if waters went for the tackle front on they probably would've clashed heads.

thinking it'll be negligent, high impact, high contact. so probably 2-3 weeks.

I hate MRP. The system basically guarantees he will get done for a few. Which is rediculous. Nothing intentional about it, arms were down and eyes for the ball. Watson contributed more to the contact then did Waters. The fact he left the ground and didnt come back on doesnt bode well.

I hope West Coast go hard and appeal the decision. Show some faith in the player, unlike last week.

Here's the link to the match summary video. Watson's hit on Beau's shoulder is at about the 2:50 mark, and the slow-mo at around 3:03.

Didn't mind it being a free but there's no suspension in it. This shows the flaws of the points system. Touched his head, yes, but with no impact or intention, there is no way that should be even a reprimand. He'll get 3 though, at least McGinnity's available.

I love how hard Beau is just does damage when he`s not even trying ,I hope he can get off hardly seems fair when they were going at a loose ball that watson beat him to and there was nothing he could do to avoid contact .

Will probably get a couple of weeks after seeing the replay. At the game it looked a fair bump from what I could see on the big screen but after watching it again I see he did clip him on the jaw. The fact that Watson didn't come back on will likely guarantee he gets suspended.

Watching the replay, you can see that Watson is coming up from a crouching position and collects himself on Beau's shoulder. No doubt, Waters was going for the bump... but that's perfectly legal. The fact that Watson has ended up copping it on the noggin' is mostly bad luck.

Those saying that Watson had the ball and that Waters should have gone the tackle should have a look at the wider shot. The ball was initially loose. By the time Watson started to gather it, Waters would have had about a 10th of a second to change his action.

IMHO, it really shouldn't get weeks :(
