And play him where? He is a slowish lumbering third tall that only plays forward. Richmonds forward line is already taken up with people in these spots.

Richo
as always.
Shulz "again" this is the year he needs to step up.
Hughes less time on the hair more on learning what a first effort is so he can then move onto a second and third.
Riewoldt the great white hope.
Pettifer last two years has played good consitent football.
Simmonds expect him to spend more time up forward with Patto bulking up over pre season to take on more ruck work.
Pattision Pinch hit at times.
Polak Great hands, not so great kick, but he will spend some time up forward as well as back.
P Bowden The gap filling insurance for both ends of the ground.

All better IMO than Watts. The PSD should be about team needs rather than just the better talent.

Can't he be taught how to play deep back, he's only 22 and he has a good frame to work with?
I think with the right motivation (last chance to be an AFL footballer) and the right coaching he could become a useful sort of pick up for little by way of coin.

Has to be worth a go, that size has to be good for something.

He must of showed something at sometime, he's been on two clubs lists; so I'm saying that (if we don't get Brennan) then he might be at that stage where someone can give him the well deserved kick up the ring he probably deserves and make something of himself instead of waiting for something to happen, he can get up and do it himself. Just might be a good fit down at Tigerland and he's got a lot of boxes ticked with youth and size.

And 6'3'' isn't quite 197 cm

Just trying to make a point that size in this instances makes no difference, of course he showed something you don't get picked up by an AFL side if you don't have skills.

However Adelaide at the time really need any form of KPP forward they could and his old amn had alot to do with getting him to the Saints. Not what is needed would only be taking up a spot on the Coburg list pass move on.

As a 19-year old, kicked 10 goals in an SANFL Preliminary Final in 2005.

Came to the Saints, and snapped his leg at the start of 2006. Missed the whole year.

Had operations and missed much of the pre-season, then came back to the VFL in 2007 and kicked bags of 5 and 7 goals.

Ripping bloke too.

Deserves a proper crack at it.

Wasn't bad as a CHB at Wesley, I can think of far worse choices than him come PSD. As much as I'd prefer Brennan or a long term ruckman I wouldn't be entirely shattered with picking Fergus as he definately fills a need. Problem is pace which he lacks. From the direction we're taking we want a CHB like Brian Harris and Scarlett, capable of rebounding and Watts wouldn't be this even though I feel he could fill a few needs in the interim.
