I can't keep defending Campbell forever ... I never saw teh match but from what I heard, he played a shocker. I am very p|ssed off with his effort.

Chris, Coughlan! I love the look of this bloke, he is dedicated to the club (he said so himself at a Richmond function in WA last year) and I really hope the selection panel give him a few more games. He should do really well for us, I guess it's only a matter of time (and gametime!) .

Nah Foxhat, I've been on this theme for quite a while now! I am so sick and tired of seeing us being smacked out of the middle. We rely too much on winning possession with our defenders and running the ball forward instead of winning it in the middle.

This is well know by the likes of Essendon and Brisbane and this is why they win premierships and we don't.

I wan't us too at least break even on the hardballs in the middle. Time to get some grunts in there.

He has to go soon because he is not tough enough against top line midfielders. Sure he does well against mediocre or good ordinary players, but he is not up to it anymore in a pressure cooker situations. He is too soft and the Bummers exploit that every time.
Bringing back DK to play midfield is a backward step. We need attacking players there, not stoppers.

I'd be interested to have watched that last game sitting between Hafey and Dyer...i doubt they would select next weeks team based on sentiment for long serving players.
I think they'd agree with CJH and diggler...

i also wonder what richo says about the midfield when no-one's about.....

truth is campbell and knighter are flankers/wingman...always have been. also tivvers, bowden, bidders, cameron, rogers, fiora...the whole list nearly.

I wouldn't be calling Fiora a wingman just yet. What I've seen of him he has what it takes to play in the middle. A few more kilo's and he'll be right. His got excellent vision and knows whats around him, which I think are the second and third most important atrubutes that you need in the centre behind Toughness. If he can turn his courage in to toughness at the ball then we have a star.

I'm not ready to bag KNIGHTA. I just carn't. We just were to negative on friday. We didn't want the ball as much as they did. We were to busy trying to stop them gettting the ball instead of getting it ourselves. Knighta tried almost gave him a vote.

Backline

100% correct CJH, all our forward moves are created from winning possesion out of the back line.
We rarely get goals from clean possesion from the centre.
So what do we do, move our half back line into the centre. Well they couldnt do any worse!
