You obviously missed the point. When Carey played for the Kangaroos he generally played from the goal square up to the 50 mtr arc as a roaming forward. The only difference is that at the crows he will stay fairly close to the goal square which he also did at the Roos but he will not get the goals that he would get from moving out towards the 50 mtr arc like he did when he was at the roos.
Longmire, Scholl, McKernan, Rocca & Crocker are just some of the players who played FF for the Roos & often kicked more goals in the season because Carey was playing CHF. eg. Dig out the '98 GF tape & look carefully at the Roos' forward set-up. I'll give you a little clue - Hart played a magnificant game at FB on Scholl in Pagan's paddock whilst Carey was further up the ground. Carey has not played mostly FF for the Roos but will for the Crows. I don't expect you to get this after repeat explanations, but then again you are a Zombie! ;) :p

Nappy's with Noddy in this case. 50 - 60 goals. Any more would be a big bonus.

Nappy's with Noddy? Or is that Mr Bean with Nappy?

Might have to change my avatar to another one of Mr Bean as her in doors is starting to look at me with a sparkle in her eyes since she noticed Mr Bean in a nappy,

My pesimisstic optimism says Carey will kick 40 to 50 goals .

And Zombie, WTF does this mean??

Sounds like youve been taking elocution lessons from Williams:p

What sort of reception do you think Wayne Carey will receive from the Roo fans when we meet in Melbourne or is Canberra??

Some will boo him, most will be just angry that through his own stupidity, he is no longer playing for us.

We still consider him our own though :)

What is interesting is seeing you guys having to deal with the same issues that we've had to deal with all these years (and I won't include last years stuff).

yeah.....well if we had McLeod at Nth (when Wayne was there) streaming out of the middle, he would've kicked 100 more often than not.

As Wayne is a lot older now he'll "only" kick 60 something.

Fair point mate but you have to take the bad with the good And you have to admit that you guys were pretty happy to put up with all that stuff (not including last year) as long as he was producing on the field and he did that more often than not;)

well....you'll put up with anything when you have the greatest CHF the game has seen.

Being serious, the way he is targeted is a thorough disgrace. He's no angel, granted, but neither are half the players in the AFL and you don't hear a word about them. That's because Carey has been the greatest player to play in the VFL/AFL in the past 25 years at least, and they use his football profile to sell their pathetic grubby newspapers.

Without mentioning any specific newspaper - "what do you think?" ;)

He has kicked less than 30 goals before during a season in which he has played the majority of games, and that was when he was in his prime.

...

So which is being more unrealistic, suggesting he could kick over 100 goals (which he has never done in the past) or suggesting he could kick under 30 goals (which he has done in the past) ?

If you'd bothered to do even the smallest bit of research you'd be aware that Carey has kicked less than 30 goals in a season exactly once in his career - in 1997, the year he stuffed his shoulder and missed 11 weeks of footy. He might have played "the majority" of games as you claim, but 13.5 / 25 is a pretty slim majority.

A tiny bit more research would show you that since 1994 his second worst season (2001) when he was again half crocked, yielded 35 goals from 14 games, and other than he hasn't had a season with less than 63 goals.

Interesting statistical distortion, Zombie - but not very enlightening.

Well in Melbourne the Herald Sun is the only rag that any self respecting 'shock jock' would use for 'talk show' fodder and general scare mongering.
