Nah, Rat's very good in traffic.

Rat is definitely an above average player at cutting through traffic, however, he achieves this by taking a lot of short steps and can get caught out once the opposition work out his style.

Milera seems to have superior breakaway speed to make that space once he is loose, which gives him an advantage.

If Rat replicates this form, our outside brigade of Rat, Milera, Seed and Smith is probably of the best quality we have had in a long time.

Looked brilliant at the ground from the opposite side, leaving his man, intercepting the attempted pass, taking the opponent out of the contest, and lacing out a kick to a bloke in space. Beautiful.

Milera leaving his man to impact that contest with Boak was awesome. In person it was one of my favourite plays of the night (I was right next to the Crows bench so had a decent close up view!)

When you add that to the skills he has with his disposal, his pace, his ability to move through traffic and now his ability to shrug off and palm off tackles, he really is looking like an absolute beauty of a player. If he can stay fit, he is going to be a 300 game player for us.

Doedee plays the intercept 3rd tall defender role superbly and talia is talia..a premier key defender. Keath and hartigan fight it out for the fullback berth but on form keath looks very stable and should get first crack...as big kev used to say...i'm excited

Ahh..i forgot to add that i think smith and seedsman will be on the wings next year..2 guys that can run and carry then send it 60 metres deep into the forward line. As long as we have all back on deck for preseason and the fitness program is sorted, we will be very dangerous next year..particularly with rankine running around in our forward line!!

I love how this 20 year old boy is becoming a man.

You can see the growing confidence in his strength and body.

He's shrugging players and attacking contests with great confidence and the best bit is his real weapons of agility, evasiveness and elite disposal by foot have really started to shine.

I can't wait to see what another pre season is going to produce.

My critisism of Wayne was his intensity and attack on player and ball. I didn't think he'd improve much in that area.
We'll I've been gobsmacked with where Wayne is at and the 10 fold improvement he has made......happy to say I was way off on that call.

Love what Wayne is doing and his physicality attack on opposition players with the ball.......magnificent to watch.

Incredible. Earlier in this quarter he missed Polec in a pretty weak tackle and he was let known about it. It was so good to see him learn from that and lay Boak out.

The 2 memorable fumbles to me (1 cost us a goal) were in Q1 which I’d put more down to nerves in a big game. Putting that aside and playing how he did shoes done maturity too
