Junior was subject to a ridiculous amount of negativity on this board earlier this year. So much abuse and being compared unfavourably to Nank by the majority. Junior has zipped them big time. Hopefully even blind Freddy can see the truth now

He is having a very good season. He is as clean with picking up the pill and marking as anyone in our side. Excellent disposal. You can see he has confidence in his body and game again after an unfortunate collective few years of injuries.

Excited for the next few years with Junior as a rock off half back.

Love the re-writing of history by the usual suspects - good to see you find the place after a win

Wayne has been ok to good - started out rusty - which was a lot of the concern over his management

Some wanted his early management done through the SANFL - and there were certainly moments when it looked like he was off the pace

But credit to himself and the coaches for choosing another pathway - he is holding his own in the team

Cmon Fonzie, you were WRONG.

Milera>>>>Nank. No question.

Don't think he was ever poor really, has been good throughout the year. Has completely justified his selection and been an important part of the defensive group.

Not someone who I think is particularly likely to ever be an AA-quality player in his role and not the most damaging half-back but certainly in the best 18 we've got.

Milera is in great form, but more importantly it seems he’s confident in his body again. People forget he’s been in several serious injuries during the last few years. It’s nearly a miracle in itself that he can play at this high-standard level.

“Milera is expected to feature when the Crows host St Kilda on Sunday in what will be the 27-year-old's first game since March 29 last year.

Milera ruptured the patella tendon in his right knee in the round three clash against Fremantle.

He suffered the same injury in 2021 and missed the entire season, and in 2020 played only two games when fracturing a foot which ruled him out for the rest of that year.

Crows coach Matthew Nicks says Milera, nicknamed 'Junior', is primed for his comeback provided he emerges unscathed through training leading into Sunday's Adelaide Oval fixture.”

He complements the defensive mix so well, and I reckon he’s possibly the best kick defender we have.

Milera playing to his strengths, but unfortunately has put the 'keeping off dodge and weave' back in the kit bag. Less stress on the knees without all that dodging and weaving around players. Used to love that in him though with his ability to evade being tackled.

Has proved me wrong so far. Hopefully alot of big games to come, so will see where we are at after finals.

Where I think he has improved is his one on one contest. No one wins them all but he has shown he can break even and hold up play which is all you need.

You are right overall but he did evade 3 power players in the one play in the first last night.

But no more dodge and weaves like these ...

which are fantastic to see but must increase the risk of injury by a magnitude.

Maybe it's because of his knee injuries he doesn't seem to do those anymore but I reckon he's now a more dependable weapon in our defence group.

Seriously a thing of beauty isn’t it. I flew over for that Dees game in the wet (we lost in a tight one) and will never forget that manoeuvre. Not many other players could do that.

Came on here slightly nervous if people were still bagging Milera .Good to see recognition in here now . He’s been fantastic over the past 2 months . A key cog in our rock solid defence

People have short memories and think the new shiny things are better.
He went through some injuries and spent some time out of the game. He comes back and then people forget how elite he was before he got injured.

I remember back many years ago when Australian cricket was full of top players. We had a heap of newer and younger players knocking on the door and many people, including me, demanding they get upgraded to the main list at rhe expense of the old guard. The ACA introduced an Australian B side for that season and they played the Australian A side. The old guard A side beat the B team handily.
Sometimes we take for granted the quality of the current players.

I have always been a supporter of Milera and defended him this year while others shot on him.
I really like Nank as well, but as it stands he is going to have to wait for his turn, and knowing Jrs history with his body it will come along.

Milera>>>>Nank. No question.

Get over yourself, the critique by people was he should get his touch in the SANFL before coming in to the firsts. As it was we absorbed a number of meh games as he found his touch which has come on strong after the bye.

The way you are re writing stuff, soon you'll say you never sent our CEO an offer for 30% ROI stock tips for our players
