He's a rake of a kid in his second year. We needed outside players because we were overloaded with inside grunt. Finally get one and people unload shit.
Great work.

No.Your words - do you want to revise them?

Actually, I might revise them. "Not a dud" is my understated way of saying I think he's good. Like "Sloaney goes alright". I can see your point about the language, but Lever is certainly good enough for it not to have been a bad pick.Your words - do you want to revise them?
No.
There's no justification for saying Ogilvie had a bad year with the Lever pick.
See other post. I agree my language was confusing/confused.You're very confused, as is often the case when you're forced to talk actual footy related subjects
Mike was suggesting the ogilvie era wasn't all that crash hot and you pointed to Lever as some great shining success that outweighed everything
When asked how good you thought he was you replied "not a dud" as if that was even a vaguely cogent response to the context you responded to
Lever is at present maybe par for his draft cost, but sitting on the edge and could go either way
I don't think Rendell is worried too much about his record just yet.
And I didn't think Lever was a giant success that outweighed anything. I just asked whether he thought Lever or Gallucci was the bad pick to make Ogilvie's "two bad years".You're very confused, as is often the case when you're forced to talk actual footy related subjects

His body language is terrible after a stuff up. Doesn't just drop his head, his shoulders go down as well.Big confidence player. All in the head with Milera. Given some time to develop a bigger body and gain some mental maturity he should click. Will then break lines like a hot knife through butter
Yep, and another where he could have closed down Heppell but ran around him as if he was waiting for a handball.Seems to have lost confidence since we picked him up. He was a jet with Centrals and the few times I saw him he had no problem putting his head over the ball and his body on the line. Now he's not doing those things often enough at AFL level. There was one occasion last night where he could have come in from the side and taken front spot and he chose no to. Resulted in a mark and goal to McDonald-Tipunwingi. Think it was 1st q, but might have been 3rd. I need to check the replay to see the angles as maybe he was too far away to influence the contest, but that's what it looked like from side on.
I'd drop him to the 2s to regain confidence. No passengers if we want that premiership.
In the last quarter he played the way we want him to play.
Milera, Knight, Douglas and Mackay all got a bit of the ball in the last quarter after pretty forgetable games. In the last quarter he played the way we want him to play.

He didn't play in the Sydney final. Perhaps we need to have a look at some of the players who did play in that final though. For applying pressure, tackling and doing something else rather than standing off the opposition id have Knight, Douglas and Mackay over Milera without a thought.
In this area Milera is poo, the excuses because he's 19 need to stop.
In the finals game against the Swans we were mauled in this area.
We don't need another spectator on the field.
For those calling for Hampton to be replaced...he had 7 tackles. He brings great defensive pressure around the scrums.
Oh, and Rory had 9 to go with 32 disposals. What a champ.
