Do we believe he can win the rising star this year? Or started the year too slowly?
Haven't you heard, according to kornes pepper Powell is the best draft pick ever drafted and a lock for the Rising star/Brownlow double. Don't even know why they bother nominating anymore...

Looks like that whisper I heard locally about ex Ballarat Rebel Jacob Hopper might have some truth to it too, remember Anderson was the one that broke the Jack Steele on the move news. Get to it Justin Reid.

I had a bet at the start of the year. Think Ive done my dough. Others have really impressed.

He's a ripper; he has a Pendlebury-esque ability to slow the game around him when he has the ball, before making the right decision and nearly always using it beautifully by foot.

Odd that so many people (including me) suddenly thought he looked physically huge on Saturday night; not sure if it was simply the jumper or he's been hitting the weights and protein shakes.

Very happy that he'll be a Crow for the next decade.

Wayne Carey on Milera's nomination on Talking Footy - 'he's been in and out of the team this guy ...' uhhhhh ...

Who was the poster who called him a Danyle Pearce clone?

He has more composure in his little finger than a pleb like Pearce (or Mackay).

Think it was relapse?

Love Wayne's skills, you can really trust that he is gonna use it well, gonna be a Jet for sure

Play the long game.

I'm sure Doedee will be a high level AFL player and Burton wasn't overlooked on talent but fears over durability.
We should've took a punt on Burton getting over his leg problems as we did when drafting Lever coming off a knee reco. After all he is a local that would've been SAs first picked had it not been for injury. We already scored Milera in that draft, we should've had 2 rising stars from that draft. Dammit.

Congratulations to Jnr on his recognition, I really enjoyed how he played against Fremantle with much more intent

He did a medical with the club. After that we weren't interested in drafting him.

Still might get 2 rising stars from that draft.

Well that was a pretty bad decision
I think its far too early to judge that call, based on talent alone it is an average decision at the moment (although I rate doedee exceptionally highly) but his career longevity will determine the success of the selection. There were obviously some warning signs for us, and hawthorns selection of injury hobbled omera certainly doesn't shine any extra light on their doctors.

Apparently the medical reports on him were good as well.
