Over his career about 40% of Burgoyne's possessions are contested, Gibbs for eg, is on 35%.

Bit of underrating of Burgoyne's ability to win his own ball. Also worth nothing we're talking a player who will walk into the Hall of Fame

FWIW Wayne is averaging about 28% contested possessions

A lot of time for that to go up to a higher number, especially with another 1-2 preseasons.

Interesting that Ebert danger is in the Milera thread. If Milera fails we lost on drafting Danger over Ebert

I'm hoping Milera continues to develop all looks reasonable at this stage

Was tracking well before Xmas prior to the knee flaring up. Doedee went down a similar path last year. Was putting in a good PS until his knee flared up just before the JLT.

He needs to back it up though. We've seen him have short good patches but at the point in his career he's at, he needs to be finding consistency.

That was my thought as well. I have been disappointed with Milera so far but last night when I saw him coming in off the half back I started to think is this his future spot.

He needs a run of games to get comfortable and confident at the level. He is going to be quality given the opportunity. Quite strong too now. Few fend offs and spins out of traffic.

He's definitely grown and put on some bulk. I didn't even recognise him at first!! Was far too small last year, made DMAC look like legarms.

Started using it a bit and you could see his confidence grow after he picked that one up off the back of the square and bulldozed through, kept putting his body through the line after that instead of waiting outside like he did last year. We need him to start learning how to stick a tackle as well now.
