No up and coming talent has been shunted around and mismanaged as badly as Milera lately, and that's saying something.

In the years he really should have been making one role his own, he somehow became our Mr fixit and got thrown forward, back, middle, wing... Every position on the ground, with no consistency week to week.

Then the team as a whole looks to just not give a damn, and him not coming on is a shock to some people.

The kid is an absolutely ELITE talent, and I'd say he had is suitors offering substantial contracts, and hence we realise we needed to hold him.

I can't emphasise how badly the club ****ed itself for the next decade over the last few years

If he played for Geelong, he'd have been on that half back line for 3 years and moved into the guts in his 4th. No stuffing around, develop the player, give him confidence to own his spot. And you know what, he'd probably give a shit if he was playing in a team with a genuine chance of achieving something.

Just checked on his bio, he’s still only 23! With that evergrowing beard, I thought he was around 26-27.

This would have been a year we needed some of his genuine class and speed. We don’t have many players that have both attributes right now.

Thats code in the AFL meaning he will look to go to a new club in his last two years when he is contracted to us.

I opened this thread after 11 games (probably far too early) with this comment:

"I'm not seeing top level skill, run or determination. He's clearly not a dud, but he's a first round pick and needs to judged by that level. And right at the moment I feel like his game is a bit... nothing."

Tbh I think I could write that now after 69 game.

Is it a case of:

1) Hey he was out for a long time, give him some time.
2) He was going to be really goood, but the injury has cut him down
3) He is what he always was.
