Player Watch Wayne Milera

Atrocious list management. An injury prone 28 year old who's only managed just over 100 games should be getting two years at the absolute maximum, and given what Milera's done in his career (not much), it should only be a year. If he wants more, then let him walk.

Once again, the club exemplifying being an invertebrate by not letting go of senior players even if keeping them is to our detriment.

Most pissweak player on the list vs where he was taken/the hype around him being a smooth mover. He is a front runner.
Problem is he isn’t even a good front runner. Even his “good games” against bad teams don’t result in votes for best player.

He's been so injury bit he looks like he's terrified to put his body in a contest or play any sort of contested footy.

That isnt an injury related trait. He came into the squad with that skill, same as he did his half stepping and one way running.
Injury has only cost him his ability to run that one way fast.

I at times question if we have a scale on how we rate games, or just every game the same. Like 20 touches against the Eagles gets rated the same as 20 touches against Collingwood. Surely we notice guys beating up on minnow teams and then struggling against the tougher sides?

I'd rather john noble. Plenty of those guys floating around

100% should bring dropped but there is zero chance he gets dropped for the Doug Nicholls home game. Will probably be needed for the media all week.
We really need to invest in the future.

If we have a quota for washed up senior players in defence, I would legit rather play Smith.

I think coaches still see him as a young player with potential but he has clearly peaked and the peak is David Mackay territory.

I wasn't a Mackay fan, but he would at least put his body on the line when the time called for it. Milera won't even do that at the moment.

Mileras performances have gotten to the point where if he does anything even of average AFL standard I'm relieved.

Right now he is a hbf that doesn't lock down or provide offensive drive.

Being used as bait to entice NWM to the club. Can't think of any other reason why he keeps getting selected.

Give the Milera money to NVM. He is going to take over Mileras position anyway.

Sooo…who played on Bobby Hill?

Yes I was particularly impressed with Milera flinching when Hill turned and kicked on the 50 leading to a Membrey mark and goal, whilst another Crow player came from further away attempting to smother.

Beyond that I don't remember too many one on one contests between the 2.

Milera played on Bobby Hill and kept him to 6 touches. Keep burying your head in the sand if it makes you feel better.

Bobby Hill averages 9 disposals a game over his career. Massive accomplishment that keeping him to 6 on a wet slog.

Besides it's irrelevant, it's the moments that matter when it's time to stamp your seniority that is the issue, like lacing out a Collingwood defender in the dying stages under no pressure.

If you can't see him cruising alongside contests not wanting to get involved or missing easy hit up targets then I suggest you get your head out of the sand.

Bobby Hill is a potential match winner and was blanketed out of the game in conditions that - sorry to inform you - suit zippy small forwards.

This is why I wonder if some people on here really watch games, or if that old rumour that only 10 people regularly post from 40 different accounts is true - if you haven’t worked out - 10 games into the season - the Milera’s role in 2025 is shutting out the opposition’s most dangerous small forward - and that he’s 10-0 - then I’m not really sure why I’m discussing footy with you.
