Least it’s not only Sydney wrecking games
Weather forecast, from WeatherZone, after 3pm in Melbourne tomorrow should be good though:

But Id imagine if there is an inkling of rain after 4pm the game will be abandoned. Reading those two different forecasts, bit of a difference between having 0.1mm rain/hour compared to <0.1mm of rain/hour.

Why is it particular to the women's game?
Because at the moment following reasons
1) keeper is often up to the stumps,
2) they don’t play the ball for working ones and twos.
3) not all batters are athletic enough for quick singles eg; Wareham

At the moment it’s high risk low reward.

Observation about todays game between Stars and Adelaide.

I noticed that they were batting on a wicket (the far right) which seemed like a smallish 45-50 metre hit to the Shane Warne stand. The other side was a noticeablely bigger hit (the side to the grass banks)

Be interested to see what wicket is used for Gades v Thunder on Tuesday.

Surely Stalenberg makes way when Molineux returns

Though I'd be tempted to give de Broughe a run sooner than later

How Stalenberg gets a gig I’ll never know

How are you making Voll and her whatevers look decent lol

Capsey’s rubbish is prime Murali compared to whatever Georgia bowls

Unnecessary recklessness against her

Don't do stupid shit and just play good shots

Stalenberg & Coyote both seem to be in the team for their experience and maybe even selected as specialist fielders at time - though at least Coyte bowled today

But with Stalenberg not really making her mark with the bat and I'm not sure she's ever bowled for us, I'd be making the swap for the younger de Broughe

Would be good if Dottin could find some form with the bat for us

Matthews last year seemed to be the first time for a while that one of our internationals who actually made an impact with the bat when so many have struggled

We keep seeing them find ways to make starts but not go one with it when that's what we most need

Wareham has definitely improved her batting over the past 18 months - 2 50s last year from her 9 innings and now her first 50'this tournament

She gives herself the chance to get in before accelerating and seems to better understand that side of her game now compared with a couple of years ago where she was seen as that lower order hitter

And she seems to be enjoying the stand in captaincy

Peschel really having a hard time bowling with a wet ball the first 2 games. 148 was never going to be enough on a wet outfield at the CitiPower Centre.

That’s what we get for opening with a turtle

The game Wilson makes a duck we will win
